Not exactly. When I'm getting to the point of artifacts the score usually starts to drop. Push it too far and it will hang.
Well yea, there is a limit.
Get more artifacts where though? This is my primary concern, will I get artifacts outside the 3DMark programs or only in the 3DMark programs?Quote:

You can get artifacts in any 3D program/benchmark or game if you OC too far. Some of it just depends on how taxing the game is.Quote:

Hey, what can I say? I only work here! :p :DQuote:

Nope...been too busy to mess with it.
Not necessarily a bad thing now considering the fact that I can't do any update now with my rig outta action. :( Turns out one (or both) my HDDs is/are damaged (dunno how the hell THAT happened..... ) I thought it was either that or corrupted bios. Looks like I'll hafta start afresh again..... :eek:Quote:

I hope to fix it soon. im getting a little fed up tho, with certain things...
"Too married" to mess with it that much recently. I'll probably get a few numbers out when phase change comes in early next year. And I might upgrade my VC again by summer. Right now I've decided to try and get her interested in FPS :) She played a little D3 last night. I installed HL2 last night to give it a run. I'd like to get it patched to spanish though so the learning curves not that big.Quote:

As for benching, the best youll see now is the sli'd cards and my sandiago on ice water...
Im still expecting some pretty good scores.
Is it just you or are other people SOL as well? I think we were working with the same person :)Quote:

As for me i think i'll buy an asus p5p800 and a pentium 4 630 by christmas.
I've seen people going for 4ghz with the stock cooler for this combo so i wonder how much i'd get with phase :p
No, youll be fine ewitte...Thers just some complications with mine... The dealer is still a great guy, and is promptly refunding me. Id wait and get it still but i kinda need money as i have a new hobby(photography) and it takes presidence over overclocking for now.
Man everyone is just talking about this phase change unit... please enlighten the stupid ones in here. What in the world is a phase change?
Its just an adaptation of refrigeration to cool the CPU. A single stage unit can get your load temperatures as low as -40C. Multistage can go below -100C but it costs a ton.Quote:

something like this
To see a phase-change unit "naked" check this~
Odds are you don't understand anything they're saying (because it's portuguese) but check the images :p
That is the guy that broke 4ghz for the first time in an amd processor :p
I'm mainly waiting because I've not completely paid for it yet :p Its not as easy to work with. You can kill parts easily if they are not insulated good and moisture forms.Quote:
