Best thing is you can't attach anything that would make it useful like mice 'n stuff.

I have to say I see a sort of convergence. While high horsepower custom PCs will probably always be around, I see most consumer computers moving more towards the simplicity and low cost of consoles while consoles will continue to get more and more functionality.
The Dreamcast can be hooked up to a SVGA monitor and already supports email and Internet access and the PS2 seems ready to offer the same in addition to more traditional I/O interfaces (USB/Firewire).
On the other hand, look at all of the PC alternatives and Internet Appliances that are being sold. Case in point, the IPaq from Compaq. It looks like a computer but don't be fooled. It is a self contained piece of hardware that runs on a WinCE derivitive that allows internet access and various other common functions. Hell a Dreamcast could hypothetically do all the same things and still play games (It even runs on CE!)
I'm not really pushing one side or another but I'm just saying we need to wait and see before saying one or another will come out on top because this is a volitile time in technology and the next big thing may be totally different.

I'm not sure if anybody mentioned this, but another leg up the PC has is it's mod community and user made maps. Granted, some of them really suck, but others kick ***. Lord knows they extend game life. Until the we (gamers)can code mods/levels for console games PC's will always have an advantage.
