If Blizzard's pattern remains true, StarCraft 2 won't be out until after Diablo 3 is released.

I have a contact in Blizzard who has told me that Starcraft 2 is in th WORKS!.He tell's me that there are going to be 5 races,but wouldn't tell me their names.He say's that it will be in 3D with new scenarios and hero's.There will be 10 new unit's,but wouldn't tell me.He say's that it will be released soon but not even he know's that.This project is very hush,hush guys.I had to pay this guy 200 bucks just to get him to tell me there was a Starcraft 2 in the works.He tells me they will not announce it to the public.They are just gonna come out with it when u least expect it.

Give me 200 bucks and ill tell you anything you wanna know about SC2 too also.. Even give you the names and such. Pah! If it is true all the better though, I cant imagine the earthquake that would erupt from everyone running to the store at once to get it. How are they planning on keeping it a secret to their vendors though? Is it just gonna show up one day in a box that they didn't order and they are gonna put it on the shelf?

Don't worry guys. Blizzard's got a team for every major game they have. (Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft.) Right now the Starcraft team is working on number two. Should be out in 2003.
I found this on PlanetDiablo in May, and I have seen it elsewhere as well...
In the same e-mail where the release date of the Diablo II Expansion Set was discussed, Blizzard PR also mentioned the secret project they have in shrouded development. Any Blizzard fan would be ecstatic to read about when the secret project (no, not StarCraft 2!) will be revealed. Here we have it:
"Our next big announcement is at ECTS [European Computer Trade Show] this September. It's not Starcraft 2 (the people who would be doing that are doing W3), but I can tell you without exaggeration that this is a huge announcement and one that will dominate coverage of the show. I can't say more about the game at this point, but the stuff you see rumored on the Web is pretty far off the mark. This fall is going to be a very exciting time! "

Diablo 2 is still their newest release. Why would they release another so soon? I predict it'll Warcraft 3, this new unnamed series, then SC2, then possibly followed by another Diablo.Quote:

PS- my best friend works at Blizzard, and he said there is going to be 15 races. He wouldn't tell me any of their names, but he did say that they each have 54 units. Oh, it's going to contain 342 missions, and a rumored 36 secret missions as well. Guess we'll have to wait to find out. *Sigh*

Have you ever checked www.StarCraft2.net? You will get redirected to blizzardnetwork.com! It will say "soon to come". Does that give you any clues?

He is so right! There will be five races. I have seen it all over websites. It is so common. Plus, I have a friend who's brother works t blizzard and he said the same thing! But he couldn't give us a lot of info or he would get fired. heh.Quote:
