How big is yours??

funny this topic came up, because I was considering compiling a list of pc games that I own.

I have 87 PC games from 1993 onwards, most are flight/racing sims and a mix of FPS round out the remainder. I am a beta tester and online editor for two simulation websites a quarter of the titles I have come from that, however you want a shocker. Take and add up the price for each game for the total. How does 3473 canadian dollars on computer games sound? that is with tax of course, a lot of which were new releases. the big chunkers were the flight sim 2000, 20001 professional editions at like a 100 bucks a shot. Funny I have some I played three or four times and never touched them again, actually about 20-30 of them. what you could have done with that much money is rather apawling, especially with the state in which half the games are released these days. Your better off to wait 2-4 months, by that time the price has dropped in half, and all the patches and updates are out. I am certinatly much more selective on what I must personally puchase now.

About 400 Games (Illegal I just collect and never play they go in cases...dont ask lol its a hobby)

About 5 LEGAL games that I have actually bough and only UT and Half-Life I have used and dropped UT a week later in favor for Half-Life's CS and TFC which have kept me going day in and day out for the last 1 1/2 years.

(BTW I buy every game I use just so you know)

would be nice if people kept it honest. I see some of these figures way over done. For instance, I just calculated one posters claim at over 12,000 adding for game systems including games, and I know how old some of you are - which makes it very unrealistic, that this much money is tied up in it.

I couldn't agree any less with you I mean hell you couldn't store that many games and TRYING THEM ONCE or RENTING them dont count you retards. Nobody has 12,000 no matter what you say and dont even claim you could afford them or even Warez them cuz its still impossible to do.

In reality I only stated how many games I know of off hand I do have.. but if was do actual inventory... I would be lost... Aww let the kiddies have their fun... final total..(my wife actually keeps inventory i was freaking amazed she catalogued em and which console they belong to, she musta been bored) 1,503 games I own....
You are right tho snoop... I have games I got for bdays and xmas.. that I didnt even touch.... ET for atari... some sorta gauntlet game for genesis ummm adams family etc etc

I have to say thank you for this post. In the process of counting, I found games I forgot I had.

I have 47 PC games in my current collection (legal that is, I do have a few un-ethical copies, 5 to be exact). But I also just sold a bunch of my older, non-classics, so I'm down my about 11 games from a few months ago. I never even realized I had so many games. To think I payed $20-$50 for most of them. MY GOD! To bad games aren't like fine wine, I'd keep them in the cellar and let their value go up. Alas, many weeks allowances, and many hours of my life, gone! But these games have all given me good memories.

I have 42 games in my CD rack on my desk right now, all legal. I also have a big *** tupperwear case under my bed with about 30 - 40 old games in it. Those are all PC Games. I probably have about 30 total console games.

Im 36 and started out with the pistol/pong console from Sears.

Moved to a TRS (Trash) -80 then to a C64 and never looked back...been buying games ever since.

Actual, I know a few that can meet and beat 12,000 games. He and his wife are collectors. Some of them are real oldies that are text based even (like the first Zork series). Some are shareware or freeware ect.

Ever see those discs that hold "100's of games on one CD" do you count those as well?

I have over a thousand if you count all these 5.25 disks that people "drop" off. Also quick a few floppy disks were dropped off. Did I play them all? Nope, but we did test all of them.

But right now--I have about 80+ retail titles for the PC dating from 96-to present. That doesn't include shareware or beta builds (beta tester for a few months last year) that I have or played.
