I still may exchange this card for another one. Not quite sure yet.
really would like higher than 315 core.

HaHa, no it's quite alright, you gave each of us a new target to shoot for ;) I will still give it a go today and see what happens. Awsome score once again :)Quote:

Hey Vert, are you running your AGP and PCI out of spec? Or are they locked at 66MHz and 33MHz? Would that help speed it up a bit?
AGP/PCI are locked. I'm not sure if that would help or not. I dont think it would.
In a month or two I'm gonna perform my next upgrade. Watercooled peltier setup to get my CPU even higher. I'll watercool the GF4 as well but not with pelts. Then we will try again.
One other tip I will share: I usually run the nature test first by itself. Then run all the other tests aftrwards. I find the nature test runs best if its run first. The other tests don't really matter.
That was a big tip IMHO. I have to keep some secrets;)
Wow man...very impressive score! :D
What kind of temps are you getting out of your GF4? Do you need pelts? Is it running really hot or something? From what I've heard and read the GF4's are more limited by voltage than heat, but that's just what I've heard.
I'd think long and hard before I did a volt mod & pelt cooling on my $400 video card ;) I don't think you'll get an RMA once you've done a custom soldering job :D
I dont know what kind of temps I'm getting from my GF4. Probasbly not to high since I only have the core at 315.
I wasn't going to put pelts on the card. I was only only going to watercool it. I may or may not do pelts on my CPU but watercooling is definitely in my near future.
I built a big external watercooler 2 years ago for my Athlon 500@800. It was fun. Now I want to build one smaller ones that fits inside the case. www.dangerden.com is gonna get some of my hard earned money.:D
I beg to differ. Now I'm not sure you could run with your FSB and agp bus as high as you had them but unlocking the agp should definitely raise you score. Someone took his FSB from 133 to 135 with his P4 and by merely unlocking his agp gain quite a few points and that's at 135.Quote:

That was butcherbeard wasn't it? I'm still not totaly sure it would make a big difference but you got me wondering enough to do some exprimentation.
:)
If I am not mistaking I did see a review that had the Asus V8460 to 320 or was it 325....cant remember sorry.Any ways I think that the Asus card would be nice to try. What ya think??????:) :) :)Quote:

I'm wondering why you haven't hit in the 320-335 area. The MSI has one of the best stock coolers, and the core OCs extremely well. I hit 325 on my core, but I did add AS3 under the stock cooler; you might try that if you haven't. Good Luck :)
Thanx mystif but I already put AS3 on it. that was the first thing I did. An ultra thin layer of AS3 on the core adn I have 2 80mm blowholes cooling the card down.
I like the sound of thatQuote:

Maybe he got a bad card. As always there is some variance amongst cards from the same vendor. Poor old vertices and his weak little 4600 and his sad little 13500 score :rolleyes:Quote:

I just can't wait for him to mod the sucker and kick the door down to 14K
