what's the deal with hush?
Why are there these people here who want this kept quiet? Are they in on the scam? do they get a cut of the profits in the end or what? No reasonable person says to handle this behind the scenes while the lamers continue to deal and rip off more and more people at the same time the fake negotiations are going on n PM or via phone or whatnot. That makes no sense at all. Someone says they shipped it priority then they should have the receipt and all that crap right there to either scan or simply the number so the buyer can do a 1-2-3 check on the validity of the claim. That's how easy it is. No shipping takes 2 weeks, and no, the truck carrying the package wasn't hijacked by the taliban. I've heard some fish stories in the past as well, but never ever deal with really high ticket items through this kind of a venue or even through individuals on auction sites (but I will buy something from a store selling thru ebay).
As far as giving neutral commentary on sellers who falsely advertise their stuff- that's a load of crap as well. If I wanted a 12x cd writer and paid $50, and I received a 4x writer, I'd be quite mad, but fortunately that would never happen to me because I'd require the serial number/name/model of that item before I'd purchase it so I can find out how the real thing compares to the seller's claims, and also save the emails from the seller indicating the advertised item. This way if he sent you something different than what you paid for, you can easily print all the lies and any information the inquiry into the product via the serial number you were given turned up, and file fraud charges against the seller. It's not hard to do at all. Even if it's a $20 item, I'd file those charges just to make the scammer's life miserable until I got that money back. Not too many, after learning that they have charges filed agains them for mail fraud, continue to engage in such practices.
