I've seen both the R8500 and the Ti500 in action. The R8500 not only produces better FPS, but it's also produces better quality graphics and smoother gameplay.

If you believe a GF3 is faster than an R8500 then you're just being ignorant.

just give the card a try in your system and see if you like it...in the end it all comes down to you...not anyones opinion on this forum...personally I wouldn't trade my card for a ti500 because I wouldn't want to risk loosing any quality...and by looking at benchmarks from various sites out there the radeon 8500 with the latest drivers would beat a geforce 3 in most of the tests...

What your saying goes against most benchmarks posted online, The Geforce3 is simply faster.
The Geforce3 is alot more smoother, I find the 8500's fps low point is always lower then the geforce3.

While you may have seen these cards in action I own them both and I know which is faster because I use them for different things almost everyday.

If this was a debate between the Ti200 and radeon I would probaly pick the 8500 but in this case the 8500 just can't win, Don't forget that his card should overclock to or past Ti500 speeds, Most 8500 retail cards can't even make a 5% overclock

The only quality you might loose is 2D quality and thats if you go with a shity brand Ti500, If we are talking 3D quality then its a stalemate.

Alright so with the geforce3 when you turn it to low quality in the settings it gains **** loads of performance with no IQ cost, I can't prove it just like you but hey its fun to say :)

There just brain dead SOBs that think they know every thing in this damn world, They own a geforce card and they think they know everything, they read a review that claims gf3 is better and that person that reads it thinks hes know everything god to many f*cked up morons on this site, jeez if these people would stop dissing 8500 and stop makin BS about the gf3 beatin the 8500 maybe i would try to find somthing good about the geforce card hmmmm let me think o yea some come with heatsinks

hmm if you just get a pc build and your gettin **** FPS and **** detal and unstable and then replace the card with like an 8500 and then the games work great and stable then i would think itmwas the video card.

What I don't understand is if the R8500 is so close to the Ti4200 (some might say it matches it), then how can it be slower than a GF3? A bit slower than a Ti4200, I can understand, but a GeForce3? That's a bit ludicrous, don't you think? :rolleyes:
