Lt. pudad, I followed your advice and added a 80mm to cool mine. Thanks it looks good and it reassures me that they won't fail for heat reasons.
:D :D
No thats just the angle of the picture. they are about 7mm apart and if you notice the reason they are sticking out so far is there is a highspeed 80mm fan blowing cool air directly on and around them. and if you take a look belowQuote:

the digidoc 5 is monitoring the temps of my whole system ;)
my case temps are 27 to 28°c and my CPU runs around 51°c full load running SETI. I just ordered a

So I'll be ready to finally unlock my CPU to see what it can really do :D
Wurm that coolermaster doesnt do to well. it works wonders if you have a T-bred because they run hotter and the heatpipe doesnt really have much of an effect until temps start to get high. I would suggest something else. Tt volcano 7+, Thermalright AX-7, or SLK-800 for overclockin
Nope I did days of research on the latest HSF and the Coolermaster clobbered the Tt volcano 7+, and considering Im putting a 92mm fan on it... I don't think I'll have any problems at all ;)
(I am/was interested in the volcano 9, but no one has seemed to test it yet....)

It's just too bad my motherboard died.
I will post pics of my amd system once my p4 system is up and running.
Wurm, you should consider changing fan adapters to one with better air-flow. The funnel-styled adapters if anything lose airflow.
Here's a pic and link of a very nice one (click picture):

Thanks Mark!
I know there is about 7mm space between the drives w/ that antec, but is that reallym enough? Hmm, it maybe.
It is trust me on this one.Quote:

The 80mm keeps them at about +/-1 degree above room-temp depending on the time of year.. Gawd I hate summer :-/
What is the cfm rating on the ones you use?Quote:

hey mystifmagic
did you have any trouble with that top mounted fan, when my fan is in that position it starts to get much louder then it is when it is sideways....
Not a single problem, it sounds the same regardless of its posistion. Good Luck ;)Quote:
