I was wondering that too, I really hope that they have an in-dash view. But whether it has it or not, I'm gonna buy it for PC. Now if they could only get the Gran Turismo series over to the PC...think of the possibilities.Quote:

BUT I have one major complaint... the in the car view.. so far all you get is the speedo and the tac? Whats up with that? Wheres the dash?
Hope this is only this way in the demo and in the full game you can get into the car to race and zoom...
Hmmm..Maybe I was expecting too much, but I thought the graphics needed allot of work...
The cars look nice with the reflections and all, but the tracks look almost the same as the previous games....
If you drive with the in-car view, then you pay more attention to the track detail and scenery....
The trees and things just looked too "sprite" like... (flat). Anyone else see the same things? Maybe I got a weird version of it....But I played with everthing maxed out, at 1280x1024, with 4X AA and 4X AF. on my 9700pro.....
I played it for about 20 min, and then uninstalled it....Im not too "blown away" by it unfortunately....

who cares!!! Lambhorghini Murcielago here I come:D
I never did like the Porche Unleashed version all that much. I enjoyed the "Test Driver" part, but the regular racing was lacking, in my opinion.
I haven't had a chance to get the Hot Pursuit 2 demo, but the original Hot Pursuit was one of my favorite games to play. I wish I had broadband...
Well, for the PC, I think its the best car sim thats around. Ya I would like the dashboard and stuff too. Something NFS has always had. I think the gfx are decent enough. The track gfx look like PU but then I think they're keeping in mind - system requirements for most ppl. Oh well, its nice anyways :D
PS: I've already got my copy on reserve at Software, Etc. It will be in my hands on the 22nd. =)
I played it for 20 minutes...it was average....for some reason the cops are just kinda well stupid...it was fairly easy to out run them and they weren't that agressive...they also kept hitting the barrels...is there like a dificulty option? and the physics weren't that great...I mean when you hit one of those barrels and you go flying but it just looks so unrealistic for some reason...for some reason this game just doesn't give me the same rush that the first hot persuit did...
yes, the cops are extremely stupid, but in the PS2 version they put up a damn good fight even at the lowest difficulty.
And on a side note, can someone tell me when police helicopters began using exploding oil drums and flash missiles to stop speeders? :D
I can't even get the game to start  I get hit with this error when openeing the game
I'm assuming this has to do with my stick of memory that is still slowly dying, that my retarded arse has still yet to ship back. Maybe I should just take it out all together :p And only stick with 256MB :(Quote:

relax, it's only the demo for crying out loud. I'm sure the final version will have all the bells and whistles including in car view. I played the demo (downloaded at 133KB/sec) and I love it. So cool especially the bombs from the copters. And this game is not a sim, just pure arcade racing, but NFS always excelled at that!
You want a good sim, drive F12002 or GP4
Dude, put All details at Max except for special effects(put at second highest). If it still acts up put down world detail one knotch. It should fix the problem.
I didn't like the handling of the car compared to the previous versions. It was real easy to get the back to start to slide in NFSHP, usually brakes would do it, or perhaps a touch of handbrake. But this one sucks, brakes just straighten you up and handbrake does basically the same...:(
makes cornering less fun, i guess more realistic, but still a nice slide around the corner is great fun and much easier than trying to find the correct entry speed and then accelerate out.
The few times i did manage to slide, quite on accident, i almost end up spinning around the other direction...
Still it is very pretty compared, but playability is less IMO.
Yikes :eek:Quote:
