I own a 9700 pro no one ever said the image quality was better on the fx.Quote:

Just to add my experience with my 1 run of 3dmark'03. I noticed that there were no flames during the plane crash in the first test though there was black smoke, I just figured that it was part of the way the tests were run. There were also no shells ejecting from the planes machineguns, again, I just thought that was the way the test was run. But during the CPU test run of the planes, there was flames, and shells. But it was also shwon from different angles, so that added to my thoughts that thats the way the tests were meant to be.
Altough I didnt notice anything in any other benchmarks, other than lower FPS in the CPU tests of the benchmarking process. I don't think this is any sort of "conspiracy" by nVidia to try and up there score, we all know they have had some isues as of late with the detonator 40 drivers.

Please dude, I could careless about what you think and do. If I like nvidia for stability then fine call me what you will.
I do not blindly follow any company, and to prove you wrong I had mentioned in plenty of post that I was not going to buy the FX, and I was going to give the new ATI 9900 card a shot.

I probably pissed in your cheerios when I stated that you cannot compare IQ vs IQ on a video card. Its all up to reviews interpretation. I prefer hard numbers over what a reviewer thinks of if setting A equals setting B.

Nice car coll maybe one day i could own one too and have those same expensive repairs down to it.

I was seriously thinking about upgrading to a Ti4200... I saw it as a better card than my 8500. The performance difference wasn't enough to justify it. I guess that disproves your theory that whatever I own is king :(. Sorry... you can keep trying though! I'm enjoying this!

Colossus doesn't think it is fair to compare the performance of two graphics cards with their IQ being as equal as possible. I'm not sure I would describe him as being "fair." I recall him saying 8x aniso should be compared to 8x aniso, regardless of how it looks.Quote:
