EDIT : well i also did a clean install of xp along with 3.7's so it could be that or just luck :p
Ahhhhh, I tink I'm gonna be a veg and either wait for the Omegas or the 3.8's. I just don't really see any strong evidence to change from my Omega 3.6's.
At least right now.
PS performance seems to be up across the board. So good for those DX8 and DX9 games...;) :D
So benchmark-wise I'd most likely see a 3DM03 increase??Quote:

I would use the 3.7s if you get HL2 at the end of this month. If not I would wait...Quote:

can't wait for 3.8!Quote:
ATI : [Terry] CATALYSTTM 3.7 will be a general driver update with some performance boosts, lots of stability improvements and perhaps a new feature or two. CATALYSTTM 3.8, on the other hand, will be a big one. It will have some very innovative new features that we've been working on for a long time.
3.8 should be really great. DROOOOOOLLLLSSSSS!!!
ARGH...WHY MUST THEY TAUNT US LIKE THAT...NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH....AAAAAHHHH
Then will 3.9 be really.......fine?????Quote:
no 3.9 is going to be crap, it will cause Doom 3 to crash to desktop and HL2 will cause numerous graphical glitches. But 4.0 will be the bomb! :D ;)Quote:

I don't think Cat 3.8 will be performance oriented. Probably more "feature" oriented. They've hinted at a sort of Rage3D tweak thing where you can set AA/AF for different games so you don't have to always change the settings for each game.
I hope your right. Its a pain if you change settings all the time like I do.Quote:

That is why I disable AA/AF... So I dont need to go change settings per game :D
All games = Disable :D Nothing to do :)
I dont think it would be easy to implement that kind of interaction, There would be too many problems for such a interaction between AA/AF settings per game set by the driver...
