silver case, but it doesn't get to sit ontop with my monitor and keyboard. i also have 2 19" silver lcds, but a black keyboard - soon to upgrade to the coolermaster keyboard.

Too much conformity is never good anyways, I'll throw in a blue to spice things up :D

Any idea when these iwll come out? I don't like the idea of replacing batteries every month and I hear gaming drains power like crazy.

I think that mouse is just plain ugly. The tilt wheel thing seems like an interesting idea though.

Regarding the Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer, I wonder what they mean by "black leather"... Is it suppose to feel like leather? The texture looks different from the picture.

I just got my MX700 not too long ago, and I'm very happy with it. Nice upgrade from the MX300 (which is pretty decent already).

Another vote for the mx700. Last TWO MS Opticals I had eventually started going back two pages at a time when clicking the side back button once. The mx700 is simply a work of engineered art.

I think the black leather looks pretty cool, would match my black everglide mousepad. I have the older blue wireless optical (and big hands), I love it, but I may have to switch to this one if I see it on sale somewhere.

That's really interesting because mine now does that every one and awhile, where the side button to back on a webpage goes back 2 pages, even though I never changed the configuration! Did you just live with it or is there a solution (besides a new mouse)?

oh, I've got to get the leather, that would feel so good to hold. It will go nice next to my leather chair too.

Lived with it till I saw some reviews on the Mx700. From what I understand, it happened to quite a few of the MS mice, both 2.0 and 3.0.

I think I even remeber reading that MS was replacing them if you called, but not 100% on that. I just had it with them and decided to give the Logitech a try... and I love it.

yes you can replace ANY microsoft mouse..however old if it no longer works. here is what you do:

If you call Microsoft Supplemental Parts (800-360-7561 toll free USA & Canada) they will give you a fax (716-447-7330). All you have to do is fax them the following:

1) To: Microsoft Supplemental Parts (<- rep said this was important)
2) your first & last name
3) address
4) telephone number
5) email address
6) photocopy of the bottom of your mouse, with a setting clear and light enough to show the Product ID information on the mouse.


they are actualy quite prompt in delivering the mouse. don't abuse this service by trying to get free mice...its one of the only good things that microsoft does for its customers. you dont have to pay shipping, dont have to return the old mouse, just send that in and wait for your new one.

I'll stick with my MX 500 until logitech upgrades.

The intellimouse feels cheap compared to the MX 500, not as heavy, and the buttons feel cheap.

i do like that side wheel on the new MS mouse but the rechargeable feature of the mx700 ive really gotten used to. and it just feels so nice in my hand.

yeah, i bought the 700 just the other day and i already love it. its sooo much better than my old mouse its ridiculous...i never wanted to get a wireless one because of the battery thing, but because this one is rechargeable i went for it.

Has anyone used the Intellimouse 5 drivers?

The new ones don't have an 'ESC/Stop' configuration for buttons :(
