In my L desk, it's right to the right of me, on the corner. All I have to do is slide my chair out a bit. So convienent for small things like drinks.
Ok,
Go to http://www.rhettro.shackspace.com
All the Rooma* files apply. I didn't have time to do any descriptions, but they are listed chronologically in the cleaning process. Somewhere around file 5, you actually see the Roomba going.
Enjoy!

Voice Naration!!!!!!
I'm glad you liked them. I had to hurry to work, leaving the Roomba running. I'll shoot some video of how much dust etc. it picked up, when I go back home after work.
-Later
:)
Great job! That's a pretty impressive gadget, it really got under the table and around those legs.
But, where's the dirt trap? I wanted to see how much dust it collected, like you alluded to in the voice over (love the narration btw).
edit: beaten, forget the last part. I'll check back later.
You have a very cute child.. I like Hoo.mpeg too :D
I so wanted to see the dust too... BTW: What is the blue leg looking thing on you wall? In 010.mpeg about 5 seconds in?
That's my daughter Cayli, she's the light of my life, thanks for the compliment. The blue thing on the wall is blue masking tape. We are in the process of putting a rag finish on our kitchen walls, one square at a time. When a square dries, I peal off the tape and stick it on our finished wall, to be used again in making more squares. I'm about 20 squares from being done. LOL! When I get home, I'll video how much stuff it picked up. I'm not expecting much, because I just had Roomba vacuum that room last week. But I'm sure there will enough to see on an MPEG.
Thanks for posting those movies, rhettro. They were wicked and I liked the narration.:)
So how much did everything cost again for the Roomba?
PS. A mop version would be cool.;)
Well, I didn't have to pay for mine. hehe, but the elite model, like mine is $250. You can get the entry level model for $160. The differences between models is minor, the inclusion of a remote/ bracket/ number of virtual walls etc. The entry level model has less options for room size, but it is still the same unit basically.
Rhettro, you took that with a digi cam?
Ok, the last of the videos are up. I just realized that my wife had used the Roomba yesterday to do the living room, which has carpet. So all the dirt you will see is actually 2 rooms worth. I didn't want you to get the idea that my house got that dirty. LOL! I think that what the Roomba picked up 85% of what an upright would do. Of course since it is so effortless, one is inclined to run it more often, so your base level of cleanliness would be higher in my opinion.
I have a Sony Cybershot S70. It takes 15 second MPEG movies in addition to JPEG photos. I don't know why they limited it to 15 seconds. The newer models will run until you fill up your flash memory.Quote:

Great movies and narration. I too wondered how well those things worked. Looks pretty good from what I can see. Impressed I am.
