HL2 preloading has begun

I just finished preloading mine, IIRC 1.01GB in about 30 minutes. The 30 mintues now will probably translate to 10 hours not wasted loading when the game is released. Just one more thing to get out of the way, it's not like I'm using that 1Gb anyway.

I just preloaded mine. I like the idea of downloading instead of having to run to the store. My nearest EB is 30 mins away, and I dont want to buy from walmart... Also I just got counter strike: Source beta. Its pretty cool...

if you could start playing the game, even a few levels, before the commoners got their slimy mits on 'em, that would be different,
