I don't think Fat Elvis is correct where he stated " It uses a 960x1080 mirrored grid display." 960*1080=1036800.
In the following link:
http://www.dlp.com/about_dlp/about_d...se.asp?id=1259
It clearly states: "At the heart of every DLP chip is an array of up to 2 million microscopic mirrors which switch incredibly fast to create a high resolution, highly reliable, full color image." 1920*1080=2073600. Therefore the native resolution is 1920x1080 and not "Wobblefied." The Farouja image processor then converts the image to progressive from interlaced.
Great discussion gentlemen/ladies ;)
thanks for the input from all the various contributors
These kind of threads help clear up/expose the mish-mosh of cranberries somebody somewhere calls a "standard" - and the flatulance of less than honest marketing schemes.
Interesting reads all around
Surely help me out :D

When do you think we'll see the first OLED HDTV's? The technology around OLED sounds promissing, you think these will own all other TV's?
Or broke people that are in debt ;)Quote:
