Actually, I think the guy had it at the maximum voltage the board supported, which was 1.625V.Quote:

I beleive he used a Abit BD7-533 mobo.
Kind of OT but... this really irritates me.
When I got my 1.8A off Newegg, reading the reviews... praises abound. Then I got down to the bottom and some idiot writes this:

I must say that i'am very dissapointed with this chip processor. It works the same as a P3 700 mhz. I see now, why everyone is leaning towards AMD.
It can OC to almost 4 times a 700 and works the same? Okay, buddy.
I'm sure a few Intel zealots have done this in AMD's reviews section but come on -- grow the F_ up. How can "everyone" lean towards an AMD unless "everyone" has tried a 1.8A. What a moron... I dare anyone to find a fault with the 1.8A, other than its "high price" in a market based strictly on the fluxuations of supply, demand and fast-paced advancements in technology.
I thought the reply to it was funny though...

This chip screams! Installed on an Abit TH7II-Raid and hit 2.4ghz with retail cooler. Best bang for the buck. I guess if you only play solitaire, then you really won't see any difference in a P3 700. AMD is MUCH better for solitaire ;)
