I guess it'd be around a 2300+ but that's not what the BIOS calls it. It actually gives the straight Mhz for me. But for mystif they call his an XP2400+. He must have a newer BIOS than me

The BIOS must be reading it incorrectly then. Xp2400+is suppose to be at like 2ghz. I think xp2300+ is much more correct ;).Quote:

I may not hit 1.9, but it sure is fun to try isn't it :) Hey mys, what mobo are you using?

Anymore 3DMarks yet buddy? ;)Quote:
Saps, I can't find the exact post but I remember you saying your load temps w/ 1.95 Vcore were about 133 F (56 C) right? I'm trying to gauge how effective my cooling is right now and was wondering what your average case temps are? My room gets pretty hot in the summer so my case temps are about 32 C and my [email protected] 1.775 Vcore idles around 43 C and loads in the high 40's. This is with a SLK-800 and Vantec Tornado.
Sorry it will have to wait until tomorrow, I have had work up to my eyeballs. https://www.sharkyforums.com/Quote:

Yeah that was 1.95Ghz and 2.0v. 133ºF is as high as I've seen it and that's the insto-second I come out of SSE2. Idles get as low as 120ºF. My case temp is usually reported as 84ºF, although I've seen both 82 and 86.Quote:

what case are you running your system in? that could hinder your cooling possiblyQuote:

Its possible but frankly I'm not concerned. My stability is 100% so that's all that really matters right. To answer the question this is a generic case I first got when I had my K62-450 system. I've had this case like 3 years maybe. Cooling is a rather none issue. I've got several properly positioned case fans and blowholes. Might my system temps be lower in an aluminum case? Perhaps but I'm not worried at all.Quote:

To give some perspective at default speeds of 1.4Ghz I believe the cpu idles around 95ºF. You've got to figure an extra quarter volt and 550Mhz are going to cost me 25ºF
just an idea :) but like you said, as long as it's 100% stable, it really doesn't matter ;)Quote:

Small update:
I just got off the phone with Epox, and they are testing a few things, then they will call me back. If they don't figure it out with the current BIOS, the will see about setting me up with a Beta BIOS. AGP Voltage adjust here I come
Yeah I'm sure an upcoming will fix that for you. I'm not sure how other mobo vendors are these days but since March 28th Epox has only released 2 updates for my mobo. Admittedly there have been seven beta-BIOS' but I'm very hesistant to go there. I guess what I'm saying is that while their ultimate results are very good they certainly don't have an nVidia like release cycle
Point taken and it's quite true. The only board they have produced that had BIOS updates almost weekly was the 8KHA+. If I wasn't happy with the current BIOS I had, I just waited a few days and voila`. I was a bit disappointed when they didn't do the same for the 8K3A+, and I think they will follow that trend with the 8K5A boards.Quote:

Then again us complaining about this is like complaining about how small the trunk space is on a Porsche ;)Quote:

I am waiting on that, as soon as I get word I will go for more 3D markage ;)
I hear ya...that was my only complaint on the 8K3A+ was no AGPV Adjust....and I know you heard that from me more than once he he. I'd have asked you on AIM, but you're not on ;)Quote:

You are never on at the off time of day. ;)
This will be my last update for awhile;
Epox didn't pull through, and did not pull through so greatly that they even took the vagp adjust feature of their site. It looks like my 3d Mark and vcard overclock will stay the same.
