I may rethink getting this 9500pro and go for modded 9500 instead.
I brought to a guy he solderd pin 1-2 for i never touched the resistor then when i got home i updated the bios with hacked hercules 9700 bios then thats it.
It says 9700 in adapter tab so i guess it is.

also how did you remove the hsf and put it back on? i never payed attention to those "how to remove epoxy" threads ;)
yeah, use conductive fluid to make a bridge between 1-2. That will "unlock" the 4 pixel pipelines. Flash a new 9700 bios on it and you're good to go. I WANNA BUY ONE! I get a kick out of hacking hardware to gain bang for buck...as do most other people here probably.
The HSF is held in place by push-pins from the looks of it. It is not epoxied on. All you gotta do is pop off the push pins and yank the cooler off. Perform mod, clean the core, apply *insert favorite TIM* stick the HSF back on.
show the benchmarks between the differences.. and post them.. when your done.. cuz i wanna see this.. cuz if it does work.. this feb .. i'm getting one for sure...Quote:

weedkiller, it is imperative that you run ALL of the benches for us to determine if the mod really works...the fillrates will tell the story. Could you do one run and include all the benches? Thanks a lot! :)

I think it works, was playing bf1942 6x fsaa + 16xaf and was getting a steady 75fps WIth no slowdown and looked insane.

I will run fillrate when i get home from work. I dont know if the modded works fully but i will say this even if it doesent work my this none pro card slaps my ti4400 around like a little girl.
Edit.. btw the card was ran at 330/290 for the 16k score i could of ran it at 370/310 but it would start tearing. I need to put a better hsf on the this card anybody know good ones for it?

The program i used was called atiflash.
To oc it i used powerstrip.

If you compared the modded and non-modded R9500, only low detail benchmark and nature change dramatically.
But high detail benchmark still shows the same.

COPY AND PASTE
There are two push pins that you have to take out, then the HS pops right off. when you're done with the mod, stick the HS back into place and put the push pins in. You're done. Nice and easy.
