This is the only forum I belong too, since I do not have the time to invest into more then one.
Since I resell hardware/software and provide support on many different levels to my customers. I have the liberty to experiment with various different motherboards, processors (well mostly Intel), video cards, hard drives, etc.
I have mentioned this over and over. When everyone was complaining about there IBM 60GXP had died. I had built over 200 computers along with that drive. NOT a single one died to this date! Most of my customers are attorneys and small business. I did have 1 IBM 60GXP die on me, but it was sitting on my shelf for a few months. Don’t know if it had fallen or not or whatever.
But people complained left and right about there IBM drive dieing.
Granted I don’t use only IBM drives now, I use Maxtor and Western Digital also for my IDE drives.
I have a boat load of Seagate drives die on me, but everyone praises them. Does this make me wrong yet again? No. I loved Seagate prior to my unfortunate mishap. I might try them again later this year but I have been very happy with another drive.
WOW!!! It just keeps getting worse!!! I wonder why
