Thanks for that very helpful info. It looks like you got one heck of a deal. Unfortunately, I've only got a Tweeter in my area. I went with the Pioneer Elite VSX-49TXi for my receiver. My Reference set sounds great with it.

Yeah, I almost went the route of pioneer elite too. They seem to be excellent systems plus to match the widescreen. Which reference series are you running?Quote:

I'm currently running:
2 RF-7s
RC-7
2 RS-3IIs
RSW-10
I'm trading in the RSW-10 for the RSW15 and buying two additional RS-3IIs. That is unless the new stuff out does these. ;) I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer Elite PRO-HD1000 to match my receiver and dvd player, the Pioneer Elite DV-47Ai.
Nice, i'm running 2 rf-7's frontQuote:

somebody has taken a ride on the whaaaaaaaaaaambulance, this post is reddiculous. let me translate for everyone "i paid for a set of speakers that has died on me, the company that built them is going above and beyond the call of duty to replace them, but im still pissed because in my world everything is perfect, and everything i pay money for should work forever without any flaws" get over it dude, get them fixed and be happy that you have the best sounding set of speakers on the market, and you didnt have to pay another $400 to replace them.
Im sorry, thats not a valid argument, sure klipsch speakers HAD a problem, but if you read any of their new material you would see that they made a mistake, fixed it better then before, then ran into another problem, and then fixed that one too. All klipsch speaker now sold are basically problem free. I am actually speaking from experience, my 5.1's died. I called them, got them shipped to them hassle and cost free, and they shipped a brand new fully fixed set back to me all in about 2 weeks. There should be no reason to not by klipsch speakers, in fact all they have done is prove that they have good customer service.Quote:

It wasn't in any way made as a ***** and whine thread. It was posted to inform people of a potential problem with the speakers before they decided on them. I have always pushed klipsch but when I find a flaw with it I felt the best thing to do was to let everyone know about it. Never once did I say they won't replace them and never once did I say "THey SUX". I love klipsch products and probably always will. I own more klipsch products than colossus has money invested in all three of his computers. But what is the problem with reporting a flaw? Can people really not accept criticism? I'll call klipsch and get them replaced ONCE. I made that clear long ago. My whole point is that I don't feel the consumer should be responsible for any cost in getting a faulty product replaced. Funny how so many people on here are willing to bend over and take one from the big guys.
sorry, but i think you also missed it. I whole hartedly agree with 1ctabor in that this really shouldnt have happened. 400 dollar speakers should not break, at least for many years, im expecting at least 10. and klipsch did in no way go above and beyond the call of duty, they released a product that was flawed, it was expected of them to replace it.Quote:

im going to go out on a potentially inflamable limb here and say that i agree with 1ctabor. You should not have to return a product more then once.
My god you are a goon. Are you saying I shouldn't be pissed because a set of $400 multimedia speakers just up and dies. Get a clue. And secondly what is even the purpose of your post?? Looks to me like you are just trying to start a fight. For one I never see you post here but when you do its something like this.:) Oh yeah, quotes from joe dirt are getting a little on the old side.;)Quote:

I believe that a company that sells a flawed product should definitely have to cover shipping. Unfortunately this isn't always the case. It wouldn't hurt to actually read the return policy either. I can't understand getting mad at a company when they clearly state what their return policy is. I also don't believe that your set blowing up is a good reason to avoid Klipsch. I know lots of people have had this problem. However, I still plan on getting the PM 5.1s. Why? Klipsch recognized the flaw in their design and corrected it and have made and continue to make amends with those whose sets have died on them. A great company that comes highly recommended from me. :)
;) Alright, please stop acting like such a little child. Have you never delt with computer parts before? **** happens. Things break. I've had two Asus motherboards go bad and a Western Dig SE drive, "Hey, everyone, I'm gonna whine and moan and NEVER ever, ever buy Asus or WD again! Wah!"
If you had ANY knowledge of Klipsch, you would know their customer service is exceptional and second to none. I've had 3 sets replaced; they have paid for shipping each time, even after the warranty had expired. I trust this company and their products as the most superior on the market in comparison to other speakers I've heard.
It's understandable that you are DISSAPPOINTED your speakers broke, but to badmouth the company name BEFORE even contacting customer service is more than childish (especially since all these guys on here are saying you pushed these speakers so much previously-you've just lost credibility, bud, lost a great deal of credibility. . .).

I never got the 5.1's for this reason. Instead I paired the PM 4.1 and PM 2.1 systems together, and I accually like the "6.2"'s (Really 5.1's of course real world) a lot better then the accual 5.1's
Look how easy things are guys, just use the stupid filter.....

Are there really that many ignorant people on here. I can't believe some of you are stupid enough and don't have enough sense to think I made this as a whining thread. It only shows how much of a fool you are to say I don't have any knowledge of klipsch. Before you respond in a thread try reading it. Credibility is not something I worry 2 seconds about having on here and any from you at all for that matter. Hell, are you people coming out of the woodwork or what?? I'll tell you something and I think a few of the normal people in here would agree. If someone wants good truthful knowledge about klipsch I WILL let them know. The fact that i'm willing to share a problem with them shows my honesty of what I recommend for people. Just because people like you don't have enough brains in your head to understand what I was trying to do it all blows up into this bullsh!t thread. Your post was completely worthless, you added nothing useful, and you helped NO one. Why bother, you are just trying to start sh!t. I would say credibility is lost with people who only post crap like you just did. You apparently have NO clue what you are talking about.Quote:
