If I get Halo 2, Half-Life 2, Doom 3, a mod for Half-Life 2 called Counter Strike 2 (probably going to be a full game).
Then knowing how busy I am right now, and knowing how I can't complete games because I dont have time.
I don't need games for the next ten years!:D
I'll try and find the link, but its already been proven that 90% of the so-called "screenshots" are artist renderings. And if you look closely, you can tell that half of them are.

The big monsters are called Antlions, and their nothing compared to the striders (about 30ft tall :eek: ). I think there's a pic in an older half life 2 thread somewhere....Quote:

Awsome, HL2! IMO I think these screenshots are better than any DOOM 3 screens. I've even played the leak. DOOM 3 is just too shiny and unrealistic. While the detail is nice, I think the HL2 shots overall are better (Not to mention I'm a bigger fan of HL than DOOM).
*Grabs his HL disc, puts it in his computer, presses install*

Hehe, half life 2 has been itching me to reinstall half life on my pc for a couple of weeks now...must..resist...
I don't know what card that was on, but whoever took those screenshots obviously was not using AA or AF. Look at the dock posts, and you will clearly see what I am talking about. The graphics do look nice, but it appears to me that whoever took the screenshots wasn't taking advantage of what the game had to offer.Quote:

edit: I just looked through the pictures again, and I must say that AA and AF are huge, the jaggies look like crap. :(
If you are actually PLAYING the game, you won't notice it :)
I will enjoy HL2 better because of simply the multiplayer and mod support.
It might not be actual game shots... It could be like video footage that some games have.. Like in Splinter Cell or SOF... You know where you watch a news broadcast... The quality is not as good as the actual game :)
Also it could just be camera shots of the monitor with the monitor cropped out... I think the actual in game details/quality would be much better.. But this is just an assumption.
It may be just how the screens were taken or scanned but they look a little grainy to me.
What's up with the blue shadows in the second one?
Striders in the other thread makes me think of war of the worlds.
