Not to add to the grief but 221 was actually mine top end for Sandra benchmarking purposes. However admittedly, I did drop the FSB by down a bit for those 3DMark runs. 44Mhz pci and 88Mhz agp I guess is just too high. Major agp tearing above 220.Quote:

Dont know if youll agree to it but how much did you have in mind for the pricing? can it pump 2.2v to the cpu or is there a 1.9v limit or something? what about ram voltage? ram timings? does it have the 2-2-2-5 option and what option ranges? what about a command rate of t1? also you will need to guarantee no DOA for a week, after that im on my own. I am not planning to do any v mods or change any coolers. additionally this mobo must outperform my kt400 even at 190fsb. meaning 190x13 on my kt400 and 190x13 on the nf2 and the nf2 must be faster, even by just a hair at same fsb and multiplier. It makes no sense to get that if I must use 210fsb just to match 190fsb on the kt400. I know my conditions may be strict but I gotta make sure :)

I have never owned one, obviously and know almost nothing about them other than xduck who went thru 5 nf7 mobos also others had some die on em. If the price and features and speed is good(think mid 15k marks) I might take the risk :eek:
You do know that DOA means right???? DOA means Dead On Arrival... So most people will not guarantee a product for a week after it arrives.. If so.. Then you cannot overclock it for a week :D
Since overclocking is technically a warranty voider :D

You can pump 2.2 with an ABIT NForce board, but I don't reccommend doing that on air. As far as guaranteeing the board, all I can guarantee is no DOA.
Your analogies are flawed and your love of you precious KT400 is clouding whatever judgement you have left.
The board in question has no mods whatsoever to it, other than a reapplication of Ceramique on the Northbridge.
And that was Dual Channel, the 230, wasn't stable and it wasn't the best ram available. Actually got her to post @233FSB, DC. Single channel would prolly get you more FSB. Better ram may help too.
And, if XDuck went through 5 of them, and they all failed not due to tinkering and/or clocking, then he had a very unusual bad experience. I suspect it was a combination of all the above mentioned. A little bad luck and a little tinkering (wink, wink).

how much was the price of that you had in mind? also for all I know I may only get 210fsb outta that. Maybe I should go for a revision 2.0 that does higher fsb. If I get 225fsb from a nf7 I should get like 15300 marks :eek:
it is a 2.0.
all my NF7-S's are 2.0.
it is running raid 0 right now on the Sata adaptors, again an area where initially you read a lot of bad press, but i never have had a problem, just stuck with the original Sil drivers and went for it.
you might be better off buying a new one at Excaliber, and get the bios savior at purchase, it is only $5 more. plus, it will come with a factory guarantee.
the only time i fubared the bios was under stupid extreme clocking, and before i became familiar with the quirks of the board. hot flashing with a backup bios chip is a snap. this was many long months back, and i haven't duplicated the problem again, when the board talks, i listen, and have avoided fubarage since.
with good ram and decent components, especially in the hard drive department, 215 to 220 should be a nice everyday running FSB, more if you cool the Northbridge better and add a heatsink to the Southbridge.
as far as volt modding the board, the smallest Pomona grabbers can do the deed, no soldering required, but, frankly, what the bios gives you should be enough.
and, getting back to your board, what you have is a good motherboard that would serve most people for years, people who just get a unit and use it (face it, not the awesome performer you advertise it as), but in this arena and with your lofty goals, it just isn't the board for you anymore.
if you don't change over you will start to get bored and then the shakes, i know this, cause once you start down this path there is no looking back.
i know when i switched, i was much happier.
