Pinchy, have you decided on the stands you'll get? I think the Wal-Mart ones are good enough. I'm just wondering what you found out from the Klipsch forum.
from the klipsch forms, they say they're the same thing, minus the logo. i'm going with the walmart set, i'll probably pick the up tuesday, when i head back to school. i'll let you know how they are when i get them set up.
Thanks alot man, appreciate it:)
Let's not get to excited. Sure the ultras are probably the best pc speakers available, but there in no comparision to real HT speakers.
There's some jealousy in that stament above. I have to get my brake pads replaced, so it will be a month or so till i can save up money for the ultras.
Well yeah we all know most MultiMedia speakers cannot complete with a HT setup... But they will do a nice job :)
BTW: That sig is just way to long dude!
lol, quite true, though the sub on this thing sounds incredible. it suonds better than a lot of mainstream HT subs. oh, and HT speakers are in a whole different ballpark. we all don't have 10K to drop on HT equipment.Quote:

Very true, but let's not turn this thread into a neverending Ultra VS HT speakers argument. (I've seen MANY of those);)
Are you using creative's CMSS on music with those Pinchy?
His Sig says so :DQuote:

i've also come to the conclusion that you DISTINCTLY hear the diff between 192 and 320, no matter how well it's ripped.
I prefer 320, but I can settle with 192 :)Quote:

I rarely if ever go below that, But I do have some older 1960 RADIO broadcasted stuff that I ripped at a lower setting, since I wont hear a difference :)
i can distincly hear the difference. i'm going not settle with anything less than 256 now.
audigy2 + ultra 5.1 + 212pro = audiophile:D 6 months ago before i got all this sound equipment i couldnt tell the difference between 96kpbs and 320. now 320 is the only thing i look for. ive never liked evenescence so much since i got all my sound equipment. when they first came out, i was like o they are not bad. now its like HOLY MONKEYB@LLS BATMAN!!
That's the same setup I'll have...I can't wait. I'm already selling off my old setup to raise some extra $$$. My 212's will be the only thing I hear for a while, which isn't bad:)Quote:

why do u put the price on your hardware in your sig?
i had a joke going on. i listed the price of the hardware in my sig then at the end i said "getting .5-8fps in planetside...priceless. i just got too damn lazy to erase all the prices.:D
:D :D
The best mice for quake3 are the MSBall mouse and the logitech optical 1.0/MX300 atleast these are what the pro's use. ;)Quote:

you're kidding right? the ie explorer is a 1000 times better than the MSball mouse and logi optical 1.0, what a joke.
I dont know what newbie q3 mod you play but thats far from what the pros use.
maybe he was kidding? i dunno, i hardly ever play games anymore. it's really a shame..Quote:
