So, have you guys noticed how quickly Sharky's is moving up through the team rankings. We've still got a ways to go but we are currently flying through the ranks.
More machines please.

Here I come folding team :)
You now have a Foo on your side.. good to know isn't it? :D
yay! done with my first WU!
*does a little dance*
Welcome aboard foo_909 and holmt, congrats on finishing your first WU. As far as the rest of you people out there come on and join up and start folding for a good cause.
OC Crusader XP18004life has already dedicated 4.95Ghz to the Crusade, and I will be adding F@H on my roomie's computers when they aren't looking:)
Conquer on!
Now, you know you have to have their permission, to install and run F@H on their computers.;)Quote:

Oh I'm gonna tell them, don't worry. They won't mind anyways. They aren't avid PC users like we are and won't notice those "missing" clock cycles. The 3 computers would only contribute another ~2Ghz, but that's better than nothing!Quote:

I'm still working on mine...
A hardy welcome to all new members. If you didn't know I keep a team log. By and large its a mirror of the stanford page minus the ranking in terms of points. If your folding name is different than your SF username PM me and I'll make an addition.
Conquer On is our motto and boy are we ever

We're now #1 over the past 24 hours of teams outside the top 65  We absolutely will be a top 100 team next year. All we need to do is double in output to be a top 50 team. But one step at a time.Quote:

We still need more Folders. Show off your horsepower for 34149 boys
I might get all 6 of the 1.6Ghz computers in the lab here at my dorm folding after I ask the right person (chances are it will be a yes).Quote:

That will be a little bit more horsepower ;)
To set it up on different computers I don't have to do anything right? just enter the team number and my user name? (all computers are on the same connection) If so I have 1.6 p4 and a 450 pII waiting to fold..
That would put me at around 4.25 ghz :D
I have 2500 WU going right now and has been for most of the night on my 2.2ghz 2400+ can I get an estimation on how long should it take to complete?..
Look in your log file and take the time from the last count and subtract the time from the one before and multiply that by 100 and then divide the total by 60 and this should give you a close estimate of how long it takes to complete that one.Quote:

That's precisely right. Two factors to remember. One, GUI owners especially, may notice around a 1-3 minutes difference when surfing the Net, playing games or simply using their PC versus when its pure folding. Another way to approxiamate your production output is a makeshift chart I saw over at [H] and slightly tweaked. It reads as follows:Quote:

The numbers go something like this:
Points Per Ghz Per Day Day assumes 24 hours and using Gromacs with SSE
AMD
Duron 26-29
Tbird 30-32
Palomino/Tbred 35-38
Barton 37-41
Intel
Celeron 20-24
P3 24-26
P4 Willie 26-28
P4 Northie 28-30
These numbers are for pure folding so the more you game and use your PC the lower they'll be. The variation depends on the WU. Some WU's do take a little longer or shorter than others per se in relation to points. Also those AMD numbers are much more accurate than the Intel. As more data comes in those Intel numbers might adjust but for now they are based on what I've observed thus far
Im finaly at 280/500:D More then 1/2 way... I hope they get it in time :)
We really should look into setting up a reference core. One that could be used for bench marking.Quote:

Ok I'm all set up on both of my comps, an XP1900 and an XP2400. thats just over 3ghz I guess.
/fold on
If i want to use multiple computers do I have to have a different name on each? or all the computers can count to my 1 name?
Use your same name(bjy999) and team number(34149) for each one.Quote:

1 more question is there anyway to get it to autostart or just by sticking a short cut into your startup folder?
anyway to not have the systray icon come up?
Check out the F@H FAQ thread here http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthre...hreadid=214078Quote:

Looks like were the fastest growing folding team out there. At least in the top 500. It would be great to get in the top 100!
