Yes, that's the definition of a canadian. An unarmed american with health coverage.Quote:

Thank you SO much one and all for your help, it looks like this young girl is going to recover.
We still need to try and raise what we can, since the bill total, always growing, is now over $50,000, but now we have reason for strong hope!
Thanks one and all, JPnyc.
Just donated. I feel really glad that everything seems to be going well after the few chemos she's had. All the best to Ana, and the whole family.
Thanks man. They really need the help and I personally appreciate it. They do too, naturally.
Glad I could help! It's the 1st time I've ever donated, so I'm feeling very delighted at the moment. Thing is, I'm still financially dependant on my parents, but they were more than happy to donate for a such a cause.
BTW, just wanted to ask, is it ok if I place the link that leads to the Please Help Save Ana page, in my sig?
Heck yeah! See JP's and my sig?!! :D And many others do already...Quote:

yeah...but its already late May...anything new to report in the past 2 months?
Ana is going to be fine. They figure the last chemo should be in august, but of course they've said that before. They've assumed that what is still showing up in MRIs is just scar tissue but they kept the treatments up to be sure. The big problem for them now is the financial disaster this has been. But Ana is going to live
well, that is indeed good news. money is just paper, and well, it can always be replaced. :)
Indeed... we await for the final good news then!! :D
Well it's pretty much a certainty that the girl will be fine, but the family is 100,000 dollars in debt.

Yeah but so far not much help has come through. They're in deep doo doo, financially. I been trying to think of more places to post the link and have even sent it to some newspapers, but they're not NYers, they're in Minn. Papers like stories with a local angle.
Any new news? I was curious as too what was going on.
Question of the day… How’s Ana doing?

Last I heard, she was done with chemo and they were monitoring her monthly for any tumor change, but so far all's well. She's still having vision problems, however, and they're looking into why that is.
Any update? Every now and then I see a save ana link in a sig and I'm curious to know what happened.
Best wishes to pete and his family, hope everything is a bit easier for them financially and medically now.
I haven't heard from him in a while, he's no longer communicating, so I really don't know what's going on. Last I heard she was out of danger medically, the only issue remaining was the financial burden, but as I said I have no updates.
