I would guess something like that as that's how it is for other games and almost every game they sell has extras. Maybe JPGs or BMPs for the art instead of PDFs.

I can try to put together a list of specifics or recommendations later but for now just know that GOG just started their Summer Sale yesterday and practically everything in the store is 50% or more off, not counting their newer releases. They also have daily deals going; yesterday was the whole D&D collection, which is a great sale but I didn't rush to mention it because I think everybody here that is interested in stuff like the Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights games likely already owns either the discs or the GOG copies from one of their previous sales.
I'm sure they planned on doing the Summer Sale around this time all along but they're jumping on the back of the #NoDRM bandwagon that's been jumpstarted by all the new console talk and I very much support them for doing so. They've been ringing that anti-DRM bell for 5 or 6 years now and I've double dipped on more than one game that I already owned on Steam because I love having a copy that I know I can use forever.
Nice. Definitely some games I'd like to pick up. Thanks for the heads up. I've never used GOG before, do you simply download the game and play, no activation or anything? I'm guessing you keep a backup on your NAS with all your gog games?
i picked up strike suit zero for $5: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/strike_suit_zero
it has pretty decent reviews but what sold me is that they are promising oculus rift support later this year and its probably the closest thing we are getting to EVR

Thanks for reminding me, James. Bought.
I have Arcanum, but my copy seems to crash horribly at the same point. I am tempted to pick it up...
I picked it up. Always wanted to l play it. FYI, gog.com are usually patched to work with modern OS systems.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Furthermore, if you're a furloughed employee and can show them a copy of your furlough letter, they'll give you the whole bundle for free.
This is great. The reasoning they put for the sale and some of the games in the official announcement is pretty funny.
Quote:
Speaking from one organization that has had an unpopular shutdown to another: America. What are you doing? America? Stahp.
...
Finally, for reasons entirely unrelated to who may or may not have been involved in shutting down the US Government, we also appear to have Redneck Rampage on sale 50% off.
Massive sale going on right now. They're doing a Summer Sale thing similar to Steam, but for the last few sales they have had one day where they have EVERY possible bundle for sale instead of just two at a time, and today is that day. Piles and piles of good games in the bundles, including all of the D&D games in their catalog, all ofthe Wing Commander games, Heroes of Might and Magic series, this Bullfrog Bundle (Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Syndicate series, Magic Carpet series, Populous series, Dungeon Keeper series), Thief series, Legacy of Kain games, Rollercoaster Tycoon series, and a hell of a lot more. Flash sales in addition to the bundle sales, plus practically everything in their catalog is 50% off even if not in a bundle or flash sale.
In addition to the summer sale going on right now, Magrunner is currently free (link to claim is on the main page). Never played it and it looks pretty fun!
You are not gonna hear any grumblings from me for a free game! :D
