Dorm madness, you gotta love the spacious rooms they cram the freshman in:)
I hope you make a nice safe spot for your Pimeta and 580's, you wouldn't want to scratch them up:eek:

Did it take much modding to add the second 80mm fan in the back of your Lian Li? Been wanting to do it for some time now, but haven't had the time or initiative to do it.
It seriously took me like 20 minutes with a dremel. I just stuck an 80mm fan grill on there, traced it out witha sharpie, and cut away. I drilled the holes first and made sure they were wide enough for the fans. It's definately worth it, you should do it.Quote:

I will. I am finally, finally getting around to modding a new case, a Lian Li PC65B. :)
I am also doing watercooling for some components, but I would still like to even out my airflow.
Btw, I have 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm holesaws. :) Makes it a bit quicker.
*Edit:
This is the last pic of a case I modded. It's for a server, so all the fans you see are Sunon 50cfm 40dbA ones. (Man, that thing is loud, but the server doesn't crash, at least not from heat, power outages are another story though...)

Where'd you get them? I've been looking for a 120mm but I can't find one. :(Quote:

Here's my new system. Its taking a path from a GF2 Ultra to a 9700 Pro currently to a 6800 GT soon. That's why the video card power connector is a molex and not the floppy connector that the 9700 uses. I'll clean it up a bit more and post it with my desktop when I move it.
I tried to keep it clean, got the Vantec sleeving kit, made some custom power cables and attempted to route the cables well.

To be honest I'd rather have beige everything than a mismatched Alu or black(colored) case with beige drives....
I just build a rig for my Grandma using that old school Cheiftec case, and it's beige. When I went over to her house this weekend I said to myself "Hmm, beige really doesn't look that bad! Kinda of like the silent sleeper type..."Quote:

When I bought that case it cost over 200 dollars and I thought it was a good deal. 6 mobos 5 cpus and 5 graphic cards later I still think it was worth the money I spent. And I like having matched drives...Quote:

Nothing looks worse (IMHO) than mismatched colors in your drive bays.
And Beige is super easy to keep clean :)
I have a specialty tool place here in town. They carry up to a 7" hole saw. :DQuote:
