Whatwhatwhaaaat? For 360? If so, and you want a campaign co-op partner, hit me up on Live :)
Darksiders... loved the story and the graphics.
The fighting did get old and a few of the jumping puzzles had me ready to throw my mouse through the wall... but I will be getting the second one.
*edit* Next Up Red Faction - Armageddon!
:( Just beat it tonight. I might be up for going back through some levels though. I really liked the worm level :)
Gear of War 2 was much better than the first, but the end seemed to drag on a bit. Go underground, go to the surface, go underground, go to the surface, go underground, etc etc. Also the turret and vehicle levels were highly hit or miss. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't a big fan of Gears 1.
Next up: Renegade Ops. This game looks awesome! I'm downloading it tonight and will be playing today and tomorrow if anyone else got it as well we can do some MP. I also downloaded Rock of Ages, it looks pretty funny. I may also playing DeathSpank 2 and The Baconing eventually, but I haven't bought those yet. I'm kind of wanting to wait for a steam sale.
I finished Dead Space 2 (I don't think I posted about it in this thread) last week and just finished Crysis 2 today. I did not play the original Crysis so I have nothing to go by except the fact that the original Crysis' graphics seemed to say more about the game than the gameplay/story.
Crysis 2 on 360 was an okay game. Nothing spectacular story wise, but pretty nice looking for a machine pushing 6yrs now. I did like being able to control the stealth/armor aspects of the suit; that was a nice implementation. Other than that this game was really unremarkable. Another penny game down; two to go. Traded in to 'Zon for $15 today.
I think I may go ahead and finish Wolverine instead of starting Homefront or Bulletstorm. I'm really not looking forward to Bulletstorm for some reason.
Just beat Gears of War 3 yesterday. I set out to play through the entire campaign in one day and I succeeded! Took about 10 hours. It was pretty good! The lambent have a sort of Flood-like feel to them that make them annoying, but otherwise I had fun and I'm happy it feels like a true finale.
Up next I'm going to need to play through the campaign co-op, 4-players on Insane. Also more multiplayer. This is likely to be all I play until Dark Souls comes out.
Just finished Deus Ex : Human Revelation.
I had a blast, very good game very reminiscent of the first one. As a big fan of the first I do not complain (except that I somehow missed the kill no one achievement which pisses me off quite a bit, I'll take it as a reason to play the game a second time).
Spoiler
I beat Enslaved today. I've been doing it a chapter at a time and decided to polish off the last two chapters tonight. It is a really good game that can be had cheap now. It starts off a bit slow with the first two chapters kind of lagging a bit but it picks up really quick and stays great until the end. The scenery and artstyle is some of the best I have seen in quite some time. The views are breathtaking, especially toward the end of the game.
I loved the combination of platform/puzzle and fighting/shooting mixed together. The boss fights were pretty satisfying as well. The story is pretty one-dimensional until the end, but the character acting and interacting is dynamic and interesting enough to pull the story along at the beginning. I love some of the concepts they touch on and the hypocrisy of the characters. Very well done and I highly recommend it for someone that wants a game with a good story, characters, and a wide range of gameplay.
8.5/10
Finished XMen Origins: Wolverine tonight. Doesn't follow the movie all that closely, but descent enough I suppose. Combat is a hoot, lots of environmental kills and Wolverine is just a bad arse when you get all of his moves. Some of the puzzles were a little frustrating because they were timed, meaning you needed to get from a to b before the puzzle reset. Sometimes this was a little difficult due to the camera not being exactly where it should be.
Boss fights were great except Deadpool at the end; he was a major pain. Not because he was tough but because I kept falling while somehow or another he could float in mid air.....interesting.
Nevertheless, it's a pretty good super hero game and fun for a playthrough with very satisfying kills. 3/5
Started Homefront....and so far, meh....
The more I think about Enslaved, the better the story gets. Damn, it was good. Anyone want to discuss the ending? I have several ideas about it.
I thought the story of Enslaved was solid; but what made the game was the interaction between the two characters. The ending was.....unique.
I loved Enslaved and should re-buy it to play it again. I don't really remember much of the ending ceptSpoiler
Looking to pick up Enslaved once I beat Bayonetta and another game. I enjoyed the demo, but I really love stuff relating to Journey to the West.
Oh man... I'm playing through it right now and hope the same thing happens to me. I've been trying to sneak around alot and whenever I get seen and "Hostile" appears on the radar then I'll usually kill people for fun and run around and try to check out where doorways lead... but I reload to a point before all that happens to continue working on the achievement.
