I posted that over 2 months ago, just as I was making my run for the nForce2 FSB record. Since then I have given both my KHX3200 and Corsair TwinX3200LL 3.7v and they've both lived to tell the tale... I run 3.4v 24/7... I'm telling you from personal experience, RAM is very hardy! Just make sure you have *decent* airflow around it, since it will get warm without it at these voltages.

And btw, if you check out the replies to that thread, you will see a thread full of people who agree with me. ;)

I have to say I am with the rest of the group on this one. BH5 memory is going to crush PC4200. Not only do you get crappy timings with that stuff, but you also have about a 505 chance of it even hitting its rated speed. The pulled the PC4000 out of mine was doing 265 1/1 and 284 5/4 and my video card running at 515/400 and the best I got was 23.5K. I just threw in the mushkin black PC3500 and I jumped up to 23.9 on a video card clocked at 495/370. By my estimation the BH5 with the higher clocks would give me 24.5, that's a 1000 point difference on ram timings alone.

i also see replies that say things like "Yes, 3.5v WILL hurt your RAM."

i'm getting the pc4200, i can always throw voltage at that if i want to. i don't know how hynix chips react, but i've seen people put up some HUGE numbers with 4200 and right now i just need FSB.

yes, but the A64 boards don't respond to RAM timings like intel boards do. all that matter is ras:cas.

hey good luck to you :D we are all couch quarterbacks at this point and time anyway. I was just doing a side by side comparision with your score and I can see your CPU definently is showing some muscle. Your lobby scores are what really put a hurting to me. In car I lose slightly and I beat you in dragon and nature. I really need my video card to put up some large numbers if want a chance to beat you, cause I am not going to be able to touch those lobby scores :(

yep, the A64 is really nice for lobby. i see 584 FPS in low detial :eek: how do you find these video cards that do ~500 without v-mods?

it's all luck of the draw...as you can see I didn't get too lucky this time cause I am only getting 495. I am hoping it just needs to be burned in a bit and it will do better. After all this poor thing has only got about 2 hours of use and it has all been above 475 so it hasn't had much time to breath. maybe this weekend I can get it over 500 :eek:

i'm so tempted to buy an XT and hit 25k (with decent clocks), but that would kill my r420 fund, so i guess i'll just wait for that.

I know what you're saying. If Best Buy hadn't been out of stock on XT's I would have one myself. I really wanted to get that card, but I didn't want to have to wait so I went ahead and picked up the pro instead.

Esch, have you had any problems with your HD and stuff? how much vcore are you pumpin through it and whatnot (mine will be in this Friday and gonna mess with that)

You could almost buy 2 9800 pros for the price of one XT, so you can risk the vmods haha ;)

Hynix reacts very poorly to voltage, and will *NEVER* do over 250fsb tighter than 2.5-4-4-7.

Look at the top of the ORB... What are the A64 fellas using? Thought so. ;)

2 9800's and a 9700 is all....not to bad for 7 months worth of overclocking :eek:

Seriously, I am thinking about getting out of this altogether. I really can't afford to keep up anymore and now that i am back in the states there is plenty of other things to do.

Bah, just don't do it as serious as you have been :) When I get new hardware I bench the crap outta it, then find a 24/7 stable thing and just play games and work on it :)

Yup. And maybe re-bench now and again if you found a way to get a little more out of it.
