So obviously the Extreme-G drivers are a little better...At least in 3DMark06! :D
John
OOPS! forgot I'm running @2310 instead of 2200 on my CPU! :DQuote:

I'd updated your score, but put it into Kalcium_King's instead......my bad! :o Don't yell at me OK? Will correct it later as it's 'bout 4 in the morning.....explains my fubar. :oQuote:

Yeah sorry guys. I had some problems with the registrar for the OLD name of the site. Im working it out now.
Anyways, everyone should be going to the new name of the site (new as of a year ago or so) which is http://3dmarkteam.irydium.com
Thanks.

Everything stock. Venice core on my CPU.
nice marks.
Wow the top score is only 42334? That will be piece of cake to beat once I get a Conroe. Heck anyone with a Conroe and a gpu x800, 7800 class or better will beat that score. The top score on the orb is just shy of 70k and thats with a crappy overclocking ES conroe. We made predictions that once the next stepping conroe comes out 100k might fall! We may see air cooled scores of 60-70k when 100k falls!
T-Bird, you're a trip
The scores haven't been updated for a while.Quote:

Haha, I probably will pick up a Conroe when they come out, so I'm sure I will beat that old score, but it still wouldn't be a very competitive score. Too much time and money in other directions right now to want to try to tackle the orb.Quote:

once Conroe comes out, there will be a huge frenzy! Wont make much of a difference in 3dmark 2003, 05, 06 but itll add enough to give you the edge for that gpu class ;) as for 2001, the sky's the limit. Ive been told 70k is possible with two gpus and Conroe and just good air cooling and I dont mean freezing air either, regular room air! 50k in 2001 will be piece of cake with a decent clocking Conroe and a single fast gpu(for nature) The guys at XS are saying over 90k will be broken and possibly 100k will be attained depending how well the overclock goes!
Vertices, you were the first shark to break 20k with p4 and 9700pro for the 3dmark team :)
Ya, but the guys over at XS are also talking about how much the cost has escalated for putting up a top mark these days. Skill has less value these days; the hardware has become much more important. A top end video card was bad enough, now it takes two. How long before it takes four? It used to be one processor, some lower rated processors that were highly over clocked scored better than the top end chips at the same MHz. Now it takes a dual core, soon it will be a quad core. Perhaps we need a category for points per dollar spent.
i have the second score in 03 with 1 card. 19991, still going for that 20k :(.
Happy Birthday C-Man!!

That's a great idea. Put the focus back on skill and o/cing instead of money thrown at it.Quote:
