Look no further than the superbowl for proof of this. An awesome pass rush made up for a second string secondary, and stopped what may have been the greatest passing offense in history.Quote:

Wow, Seattle gets a game on Thanksgiving?? That has to be a first.
Why are the idiot Cowboys trading for pacman jones... grrrr.
Jones is a huge talent. His real value to a team hinges on whether or not he can behave, but if he does there's no doubting his ability to help a team. I'm not surprised Dallas would be willing to take a chance on him, we'll see what the terms end up being.
Exactly. Bit talent who needs to behave and will be a big asset to the Cowboys secondary if he plays. I wouldnt be surprised if Jones only gets a 1 year deal with an allowance for the Cowboys to dump him if he gets suspended again though.
I would not trade for a player who as of the time of the deal isn't even allowed to play in the NFL.
My biggest question is who is going to waste a top 10 pick on McFadden.Quote:

They have so many needs, I don't even know what their priority should be.
There is talk that there is no clear cut #1 this year. But... if they are to keep it... I would like to see them take Dorsey or Howie Long's son. I think that either of those two picks hold the most value for them.
But most of all, I'd like to see the 'Phins trade down their top pick and pick up additional picks. They could end up getting two first round picks (maybe more) and help take care of additional problem areas.
I also know that Parcells is not particularily impressed with rookies. They have to show him something first.
And with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams still in the mix, I feel confident that the 'Phins won't take McFadden.
Never happen. Practically impossible for anybody in the top 5 to trade down these days with the amount of money they have to throw at the players. No one wants to give up all the picks and players it takes to trade up to that slot THEN have to drop enough money to make a totally unproven rookie one of your team's highest paid players.Quote:

Dammit!Quote:

Dang!
And Steve McNair retired today!
I had no clue! I thought that he had a few good years left in him!
Have hope, bat-**** insane trades didn't figure into my analysis. :DQuote:

Well, Miami never fails to piss me off.
They are going to take OT Jake Long from Michigan.
I just think that there is better value for Miami in other positions. Positions that will pay higher dividends by "fixing" them. One great offensive tackle does not an offensive line make.
I like the idea of drafting offensive linemen... but in later rounds. I like taking an impact player with such a high pick. Be that RB (which the 'Phins don't need as badly), QB, WR, LB, or DE/DT. I thought that Dorsey, the other "Long" (Howie's son) and the DE from Ohio were the best players available.
Gawd I hope they get a ridiculous offer for their top pick and trade down...
