You still have jason taylor at de for at least a season I assume, and you can find another de in the other rounds to learn under him for the season.
You have to start somewhere when you fix the o-line, and a supposed can't miss left tackle is a nice place to start. Again, you have jason taylor still for at least another season of good play, a de isn't going to stop your qb from getting blindsided every other play. A qb running for his life every play will hamper his development.
