Anyone else having some extreme issues with Furnaces? Specifically if I move too far away from a furnace, or if I log out/back in, I lose everything in the furnace. Fuel, source material, forged material, everything. I've lost probably somewhere around 10 stacks worth of wood at this point due to this bug, not to mention sand&glass. :(
No furnace problems at all for me. I've had a few moments where it feels like Christmas when I've logged into the game after a few days and find some coal in a furnace I haven't messed with in a while.
That was my original thought. But I tested it by logging in, starting some furnace work when no one else was on the server, then logging out. When I logged back in, it was all gone. Thankfully I only used test batches of 5 wood and 5 sand.
*Edit: Confirmed the bug on my Linux box at work. :(

So, I didn't get to see the inside.
Holy creeper in the house. Is he registered with the Neighborhood Watch yet? ;)
The inside of that place is actually so big, and poorly lit (although I did put around 80 torches in there) that mobs spawn inside, and underneath the floorboards. Its kinda creepy walking around there during the day when all you hear is spider, zombies and skeletons.
Where did you get all the bricks you used for that and for the long walkway? There's like a billion of them. I don't think I've even seen any clay on the server anywhere yet, or any spots that look like they were mined for large amounts of it for that matter.
I harvested a ton of clay, and fired a ton of bricks, and they are all gone now. I figured it was the furnace bug. But maybe it's been commanderkeen all along? ;)
You caught me... the *furnace bug* was my version of the *UFO* cover up used by the US govt to do experimental flights.
For those who haven't started playing yet...

This is what you think it is, on our creative server. :D
(note flying TNT block just above the trees)

Also, health is still enabled on the creative server. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not, but a warning for anyone that wants to play with TNT there. :p
Gah, I tried to resist, but I bought it anyways. Making my way through some single player stuff to try and learn everything then I'll join up.
Nice.
Also, use the wiki for help. I still refer to it every time I play because it pretty much contains everything from crafting to properties of weapons and armor to general game play. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki
Don't worry too much about learning the game b4 joining up. The server runs exactly like a SP map, with the only exception that all of us contribute which makes it much more exciting.
:D:D:D Welcome Aboard :D:D:D
Good News Everyone! Damage cannot be fully disabled on the creative server. Falling damage and fire damage still apply!
/Professor
Seriously though, apparently disable-health=false does not prevent damage, it simply regenerates health if you don't die from the fall/fire/etc. Alpha software FTW! ;)
