ooooooooooh yes!!!!!!!! die high latency :mad: that ram is for noobs or those who arent really much into gaming, overclocking nor 3dmark and just want to surf the net or type an essay :) also 233fsb is pushing it even for bh5 without insane voltage, usually over 3 volts which youd need to mod your mobo for, but your just too lazy to mod :p also I heard high vdimm volts can take out the memory controller on your cpu. It looks like youll have no choice but run 5:4 but the high fsb and low latency will make up for it. youd lose "just a few" hundred marks still but 250x10 is still 2.5GHz
try corsair xms ram, pc3200ll should do 205-220fsb at 2-2-2-6 timings

Um my Mushkin hit 230 FSB 1/1 2,2,2,5 at 2.85 V. This ram will do it.

Well, I`ve done it now, I have put in for a credit card friday and the reason for getting it was to not buy parts for my computer(well just a few small ones), so I`m going to see how long I can hold out before the upgrade bug bits me and I go and buy a 5900nu and a a64 3200+, MB and new memory. :D and if I do that the 3D Marking bug will get me too.:)If someone will talk me out of doing it, I would appreciate it.

Who am I to talk, I've spent *cough*waytoomuch*cough lately.

Lone, it's everyone else's fault in this mad rush for upgrades. All this talk of 5900 doing 5950U speed got to me too. The A64 and mobo are so that I can actually use this darn card. Now, I gotta up the ante by getting LL ram so that I can hit 233mhz FSB for my AGP (and PCI I think) to lock back to default. It's a damn vicious cycle I tell ya! :eek: :D

Credit Cards are nice, until you realize you have to pay them back, then you see how much interest you have to pay and you want to run away and hide. :D I just don`t want to go so far in debt that I can`t dig my way out, but a a64 3200+ and a MB shouldn`t put me in debt too much and I should be able to beat T-Birds 4200 3D Mark score with them and my 4200.:D

even with an a64 your gonna have a hard time beating 17-17.5k marks. hope your ti4200 overclocks good and so your a64. some guys 3200+ or was it 3000+ I forgot LOL did 2.16GHz at 216fsb and his ti4200 at 315/600 and got 16300 marks. youd need like 2.3GHz with those ti4200 clocks to break 17k. youd need good ram thatll take 230fsb at 2-2-2-6 timings as well. with my ti4200 and if I I get a socket 939 mobo with a 3700+ that ocs good, say 230fsb for 2.76GHz I should do 20k easy if not more. pretty tempting but not at $450 for cpu, $200 for mobo thats $650 easy just to gain 3k more marks when I can do the same on a 9800 pro, although games would run better with more cpu power despite a slower card.

T-Bird you have not gotten to 17K yet and I would have a good chance of beating the score you have now. ;)

hows your ti4200 overclock? and when are u getting an a64 3200+

Edit: T-Bird I might just put the 4200 in there when I do get it, just to see what it does, but when will I get it, that depends on how much I have to spend on something more important(rewiring my house) and I don`t want to go into debt too far. So if I can swing it I will get a A64 and MB and new memory. But beating your 3D Matrk score will not be one of the top things on my list to do.
