What do you think I can get as max in 3dmark (01 and 03) with my system?
consider the following:
I used 3.10 cats
my motherboard can run at 240MHz FSB, but stable (loosen timings?)
I might have WC looking forward to ...
there was a link that I had where a guy broke 24k on his infinity at 260MHz FSB ... don't tell me that it's impossible ...
Sure, but you'll probably need 2.7G+ and way faster clocks on the XT to get there. ;)
assuming you don't get any more CPU or GPU speed, 22.5k tops.Quote:

I can probably get a little better in proxicon, but I don't really mess with '03 that much and don't feel like re-running for 50 points or less.

'03 sucks too. It detected my cpu as 3.9xGHz at 257 fsb. '01 doesn't do that but you can either post the speed I gave or what the '03 score shows, doesn't matter to me. :)

Edit : I've also updated you 01 score - previous was 23xxx - but I noticed the setup has changed. It's still your best 01 score nonetheless so I've updated it too.;)
Thanks, mikey. I appreciate the '01 update, I've got better already though. I was going to hold off until maybe this weekend or early next week to really try to push for 25k, or as close as I can get anyway. Gonna keep you busy I guess. :)Quote:

The cooling: The Prometia Mach I is on the cpu and the Swifty MCW50T is the pelt w/c block on the gpu.

Aw, I'm just going to give you a target to pluck off with your A64 goodness anyway. ;) BTW, 25k is optomistic. I'm close enough to think I can get there, far enough to not know what the hell else to try (24,6xx). Toying with the idea of modding my v/c vmem. It's about the only spot in my case that doesn't have a vr hanging off it atm so I might as well. No RAMsinks though. I don't want to be stuck without a v/c before the next gens come out.....course I do have a buddy's dead 9800XT I'm hoping to revive. Might want to see if it is just dead power FETs on it or if the core is fried and I'm hosed before I do the vmem.Quote:

Errr mike, you may wanna the GigaCube 9800 Pro 8E die BIOS for the 9800 Pro. I have and it netted me quite the improvement. I can bench at 412MHz RAM, but it artifacts a bit. I'll probably have to get some fans blowing on the RAMsinks (copper pipe ends) I have on them to keep it stable at that speed.

Might be something to try. That '03 score I posted is the #5 9800Pro score on the orb right now though. I like that it was done with a stock 9800Pro, other than some voltage adjustments and cooling. :cool: I got my 24.6K '01 score using Cat's that haven't been the best for me in the past. I want to try a couple of others out and see where I'm at. If I can get to 25k with just v-mods and cooling I'll be happy.Quote:

Might go get some copper pipe caps tomorrow too. :) I've always liked that mod.
