Hopefully back on page 2 again at least. :) Ranger and I were both there at one point before the EE's, A64's, FX's, and XT's. He was ahead of me, but I was all air then. I can definately appreciate your take on air. Still, even without cpu heat there are plenty of challenges. I did a 265 fsb run that I swear had my 3.3V rail within .01V of ovp shutdown. I need it at 3.91V to give me stable vDimm at 2.54V on this board, ovp hits at 3.92V. :eek: That was my 25,35x, I'll try another run or two in the next few days but that might be it. I'm not going to buy another psu that won't ovp until higher then 4V just to get those last 3-4 benchable MHz. Page 5 overall now, my h/w is too "old" to be too impressive, but top 10 in my class, and that doesn't filter the EE bastards out, gets rid of the XT's though. :)

OK, my last 01 benchmark - everything same as before except my VC's at 451/351. Guess I hafta do my own updating, post here to make it offical, here's the link to my score :

well, it looks like no new 3dmark records for me in the near future. finally put my new rig together (after getting my 3rd AN50R) and it looks like this chip has a top end somewhere in the 2.35Ghz range, which is about 100mhz slower than my old chip. oh well, it's still plenty fast, and hopefully it will get better in time. we'll see. in a couple days i'll run an '03 with the XT bios and at least get that to somewhere respectable instead of my current 7007 or whatever.

what do i do? you mean as a job or with my computer? i don't have a job (though i have an internship with a data processing company starting in a few weeks) and i mainly use my computer as a toy.

yea i guess that makes sense... heh.
maybe it's just these SATA drives holding me back. i thought disabling the controller in the bios would help, but even with a low mutli and a ram divider i can't get the bus up. i'll try disconnecting them later on.

for some reason 3dmark just shows my default card clocks... ignore that as they're obviously not correct.

Ok guys, I have some bad news.

I just can't host this site anymore. I am changing hosts and there is going to be some downtime between moves. In addition, I won't have the time to properly get the database set back up on the new server.

I hate to bring it down but I just don't have a choice. I have just DLed a MySQL dump of all of the data as well as all files on the website.

I am willing to give these to anyone who is willing to carry on the Torch. It would not be that difficult to change the coding a little bit to get it up and running on another host that gives you MySQL access.


I may possibly be able to host it again once the site moves to a diffferent server but I don't want to guarantee it and have people get mad at me if I can't. I paid for all of the hosting over the last year myself and hope you guys can understand.

It's been great fun over the last year competing with everyone, writing reviews, and tweaking the site. I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did.

I'm sorry guys, maybe someone will take it over or maybe I can get it back up. It's gonna go down soon. PM me if you are interested in carrying on the torch.

well i've got a 3000/256 line and a PIII 850 RedHat 9 box, if no one else has anything better.

ok i created a copy of the current site at www.sharky3d.us.tt but i don't have MySQL so i'll need to set that up later. right now it's just running on my IIS server.
