Been hoping to see SimCity 4 Deluxe go on sale. Yay!
Meh. May grab Rush, but that's likely it. Always a possibility for Mount and Blade, and I think the King's Bounty pack may have something in it I don't own already, but most likely this will be another day of sales I don't jump in on.
How is the King's Bounty series?
Swords and Soldiers and Greed Corp. for me today. Was considering Sniper and Kane and lynch but meh, I can easily live without them for the $12.50 it would have cost me.
all i see today is plants vs zombies for $4. i almost got the ball, but it looks kind of "meh..."
The Ball is really dumb. It is a puzzle game wrapped in the Unreal 3 engine, but that engine was never made to be a puzzle game. They recycle textures and the puzzles are clunky. I would stay away from it or at least try the demo first.
Probably going for Amnesia, Swords and Soldiers, and maybe Greed Corps.
Actually probably just Amnesia.
Get greed corp I promise you its fun... and for that price its a steal.
Picked up greed corp. For $2.50, I'll support a fellow shark, even if I never play it on the PC.
Do you think Greed will run on a decent laptop with onboard graphics? i5 CPU, 4gm RAM, 1gb onboard video memory (Intel "Advanced" Gfx).
For the time being I've gotten rid of my desktop machines & only use laptops... so busy with work that I get my quick gaming fix off the PS3.
Went ahead and got Greed Corp after all after I re-read the description and realized it's turn based. Thought it was RTS before, and while I've tended to love those in the past I find I have had little interest in playing them lately.
What is everyones opinion on Europa Universalis III?
Awesome game, if you have the patience for that kind of strategy game.
I've been a big fan of the EU series since EU 2, and EU 3 is more streamlined and easier to get into.
If you have the time and patience, and an appreciation for the time/setting, it's vastly deeper and more enjoyable than Civ 5, nad most strategy games on the market.
If you're thinking about getting "Complete", I highly recommend getting the "Heir to the Throne" expansion pack, which is not included. It adds a number of new, better features, tweaks, and reworks the Casus Belli system.
Divine Wind, another expansion focusing on eastern countries, has also just been released and is available for download.
I haven't personally tried it yet, but I've heard good things from the forums.
Built the girlfriend a system for Christmas and gifted her a few Steam games (LFD2 and Half Life 2).
Now she's hooked.
She's bought Dead Space and Tomb Raider Anniversary on Steam and is wanting more!
I've created a monster... :)
Europa Universalis has interested me for a while, but I don't think I'll play something so hardcore for a while so I think I'll pass.
My earlier statement about not being into RTS was ill timed, as I make exceptions in a lot of cases for things based on Ancient Greece, and Hegemony fits the bill. The stuff under the Grand Ages: Rome header looks interesting as well, though at a glance that all appears to be turn based so that would fall in my wheel house anyway.
Anybody played Amnesia? I'm tempted...
I honestly haven't played much of Amnesia because it gives me anxiety lol.
I played the demo up to the water level and had to quit lol. No thanks to that game!
Which game is the best out of the Command and Conquer titles on sale? The reviews seem to be either split or mostly bad from the gamers who bothered to post over at Metacritic. I could never get into Generals and these look the same.
Good day of sales. Far cry 2, stalker pack, flight control, tf2, napoleon & empire total war, and red alert...wow good day
