Download Onyx. Under "parameters" go to "dock", check "Lock the Icons". Also a good program for cleaning up temp files and such.Quote:

It's DesktopBSD. I've been looking at som NIX Distros that I could use to replace some of the windows OS's I run and I already run some freeBSD servers. So I loaded this up and I think I found a winner. I was a dummy proof install and the GUI is close enough to Windows that the rest of the peeps here will be able to use it.Quote:

My desktop is nearly empty but I don't like anything crowding the space occupied by Denise. I can't remember the last time I even used a desktop shortcut.
yeah i have no tolerance for desktop shortcuts or icons of any kind. nothing in the system tray except CPU temp. and i've been using the same three quicklaunch buttons for the past ten or eleven years. everything i run can be launched quickly with a programmed button or run shortcut.
I like playing with options when it comes to my backgrounds. Here is mine (again) with different options.

I find it kinda fun to play with options, it gives the rig a different feel to me.

I got this photo at one of the Forums I go to. I saw it, loved it then made it my wallpaper for my laptop. I use to have my 1 desktop and my laptop with the same picture, Windows Vista "Pirated Edition". I do like the change for now. The Pirate logo kinda freaks my grandson!
