What resolution is that? Looks unusually small and square.
EDIT: Nevermind, I guess it's a higher 4:3 res scaled down to 800x600
Yup, I'm still running 800x600. Anything higher hurts my eyes. :eep:

Pretty plain and simple, but I like the clean look.

From a picture I took at a local firework show.
I tend to prefer dark colored backgrounds. It's easier on the eyes when the room is dark and I'm just waking it up from hibernation.
I have to agree with the dark background. Nothing worse than searing your eyeballs out with that blindingly bright background image first thing in the morning.

I use ObjectDock (free version), but there are several for Windows, with various styles and customization.
I love them. Makes navigating around much easier and faster, and looks pretty good too.
Are you saying you don't like my bright yellow desktop?
That's okay. I have another:

Yes, I like rainbows.
No, I'm not ***.
Rainbows are just awesome, and I'm pretty much pissed off that the gays stole them.
nobody dislikes gays for being ***, but they are disliked for being too flamboyant, obnoxious, colorful...
I got a good laugh out of that.:DQuote:

oh please, baby. i'm as *** as they come. and i've been checking out that cute little avatar of yours for years and years. maybe i could take a trip up to new york soon and we can discuss our future together. maybe check out each other's sockets for pin compatibility with our external interfaces. you know, see if we can decide on a universal mounting system. you could be my docking station.
i only wish i had substituted "roadmap" for "future" to keep up with the theme.

Also Upgraded from 2 x 512mb Samsung DDR2 533 PC2 4200 to 2 x 2gb G.Skill DDR2 667 PC2 5300 4-4-4-12
I noticed the laptop felt like it was running hot. I finally downloaded Speedfan and Core Temp to check the processor temps. Both programs were reporting 62c -63c Idle. IMO this was way too hot! So yesterday I tore apart the laptop and re-applied Arctic Silver 5 to the Processor and the Southbridge. Once done I checked the temps again with both programs and my temps were down from 62c -63c Idle to 43c-45c Idle. Almost a drop of 20 degrees Celsius! Today the temp is running between 37c - 41c Idle. Tearing apart the laptop took a lot longer than I expected but this was well worth the time spent! Can't afford to let that engine overheat!
