Oooh, and yeah this card is hosed. I just stopped AtiTool.....it had it down-clocked to 375MHz and still dropping. :(

oh dear, its dieing now? :( was it the high volts? too much current? you did say its a reject xt core, but arent the pro cores = to the xt cores minus 4 pipes? what can you do now? :( also read my last post, any comments on what I said about p4 and how it scores in 3dmark

Most volts I ever gave was 1.55V, within +- 10% of stock. I was concerned when it wouldn't do stock XT speeds on air. I'm not even saying I didn't help accelerate the death, dying, whatever, but this wasn't even pushing it IMO.Quote:

Yeah, but you were cutting me 1k short last time eshbach and I were running them up. ;) A lot of the higher clocked P4 scores out there are at 3:2, or with slow PC4000+, and then there's bios and os tweaks.Quote:

There is the possibility I may be underestimating your p4, I do admit I do not know exactly where it will end up, but I do have a pretty good idea that 400MHz wont get 4k more marks. I apologize if you feel I am downplaying you, that is one sick score for a p4! Most people with p4s can not come close to your score, I searched the orb and I see tons of 25k with p4 and x800xt! did you see the part about me suggesting a 3.2ee? comments?
edit: I am indeed downplaying the p4 in general, I do not like Intel for their p4's. I am an avid amd fan all the way so you can see where I am comming from. while I may downplay p4s, I praise your skills :D
I am looking at the orb right now and i see 2 scores over 30K with P4 and XT at 4.2 Ghz and 1 score with a P4 XT at 4.4 Ghz. Look at the dragon low scores and you will see the point i made before. There is no way there is a 120 fps difference. It was his card giving problems.Quote:

are you sure they are not p4ee's with 2mb cache? the extra cache would be responsable for the increases. and its not just drag low having probs, his drag high is quite a bit lower as well. me and eshbash still say its the cpu responsable. if his card was giving problems, why is his nature normal? I may have a point there, there was no need to get mad!
I stand corrected on the 31K score, it is an EE, but the 30K scores appear to be P4's. I'll tell you what, I will be happy to appologize to you if you can get Opp, or Macci to back up your statements. Looking at even some of the other XT P4 scores at 27K I am seeing dragon L at over 500 fps and these are on P4's clocked below 4 ghz
Just do a search under P4's and 9800 pro's and you will see the same trend. He should have scored higher than he did at 4 ghz. There is a lot more in that P4 than you think. the scores will be very close when he gets a new card.
Yeah, bud, now that you mentioned it, I see that even my humble GT's got him beat on Dragon L. The hell is wrong with my Nature? I'm getting only 196.6fps.....I see some nearing 300fps, but those are the XTPEs....does Nature suck for the GT? Or am I doing something wrong? :confused:Quote:

has to be a p4ee, look at lobby high, hes 10fps ahead in that test despite a lower fsb and lower cpu clocks. His nature is lower because of probably the gpu being stock but ahead in EVERY other test. does anyone else agree with me its a p4ee? The reason why drag low is 511 is because of cpu power thanks to 2mb cache. all but nature goes way up with more cpu power.

I have proved it best as I can. please click the links and compare to mike. Notice the pattern? the p4ee's are ahead in every test, even drag low and car low are completely cpu limited! If you still have concerns that I am spreading false info, please explain whats wrong calmly without going all mad :)

thats because your cpu is faster plus it has 1mb cache which is why you are beating him in lobby, drag low and car low. Those tests love teh cache. your low nature is because the x800xt is much faster than the 6800gt but your not far behind except in nature because all the other tests are cpu limited. you can use lodbias if you want like 230fps in nature though.
