Ya i used to post here over a year ago, just got around to comming back, i gotta get my FX 53 in my Prometia but i havnt decided if i really want to make the big jump over into the case, its such a hassle. Im gonna run some more benchies, just dont know if i should put the hammer down and crank it up, i can get into windows at 2725Mhz but cant run any tests after 2600Mhz or so, gotta do some more tweaking. Im gonna lower the HT from 1000 to 800 and up the FSB some more it becomes unstable at 225FSB no matter what settings i use on my ram, the corsair 2/2/2/5 i have run those timings upto 225FSB too. Off to to do some more tweaking.
i think if you run 2600mhz 2-2-2-5 225FSB you will beat me...Quote:

i'll only upgrade my computer in the next gen of processors :P
Nice pick-up there mikey! I'm finding the Powerstream just owns the more I play with it. I replaced my Antec TP550 with the same unit you got 'cause of the stronger 12V rail, but I'm finding the 3.3V rail is much better too. Antec must really over-inflate their numbers. I can run my mem v-mod much closer to the 3.3V rail on this unit and see no ripple, it seems Antec has a way to not sag their voltage when they can't deliver current, making them look better then they perform, the OCZ just performs though! Not really 3d team info, but still, good stuff!Quote:

i'm thinking of picking up a new power supply... think the OCZ is worth the extra $$ over a Fortron 530w?Quote:

Yeah, Mike, I saw the +12v rail - 33A!:eek: - that won me over.;) Like you, I'm replacing my Antec TP 550W - it's going into my 2nd rig! The OCZ PSU looks solidly built, haven't installed it yet though. Gonna loom/sleeve the cables before putting that sucker in. :cool:
Eshbach, here's the PSU specs :
Max combined wattage
+3.3v -> 28A -------- 92.4W
+5v -> 40A --------- 200W
+12v -> 33A ---------396W
---------------------500W
-12v -> 0.5A ---- 6.0W
-5v -> 0.5A ----- 2.5W
+5VSB -> 2.0A --- 10W <------What the heck is this - +5VSB?:confused:
----------------- 28W
I would have posted a pic of it, quite nice lookin' too, it's shiny metalic black:cool: , but I'm gonna swap it for another OCZ PSU as I'd just noticed a dent on the box. The PSU looks fine but I don't wanna take the risk.:o
Edit : For an OCer like you eshbach, it's worth a look...;)
