I have been doing some more tweaking and have come up with a new score. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6674229 I`m starting to believe that thing about getting more 3D Marks with Win2K, but I`m not going to buy it to find out. I might drop back to Win98se and see what it will do. I`m not finished yet, I will keep on working on it.

I need this because it makes it SO MUCH easier for me to update. Also I don't know your video card clocks or anything with out this.
Just keep a text file of this on your desktop already filled out. Make changes to it as you go and then just copy and paste it here for me.
Otherwise I am constantly comparing, trying to figure out what changed on your system, and so on. Please EVERYONE review the new rules page.

and it bumped me up 151 marks to 14590. Maybe I should just stick with this PC2100 stuff"
wow nice overclock on the ram, how far can it do at 2-2-2-6-t1 though? also your car chase scores are abnormally low, especially for a barton, I get more than that with my tbred at 2GHz and a lower fsb

I'm setting it up so the rows alternate grey/dark grey for easier reading.
I'm also paginating it so theres only 25 entries per page with links at the bottom of each to page to navigate.:)
25 entries per page! Damn I barely make the cut...but I'm workin on that now. The best I'm gonna be able to do is a battle for the bottom of page 1 though I think ;)
I don't know how you guys do it, I've been at it all night and I'm getting inconsistant results. Not that I'm complaining, I break 15k but instead of updating it online I restarted and kept pushing and I haven't gotten back since. I'm mentally exhausted! lol

You guys do know you can save the project and then upload it later right?
Also, the site update is done. Check it out and tell me what you think. No biggy, just added a BIG red 1 and alternating colors and paginating.:)

I almost gave up for the night but I gave it one more shot and manually adjusted the memory timings. (I had let the bios decide this previously.) Here's the final settings and resulting bench I got:
2500+ Barton @2.29Ghz (208x11)
Memory Freq was 139Mhz (not sure if that is relivant)
Memory timing was 6-2-2-2.5
and I up'd the vCore to 1.775

Needless to say I'm gonna stay happy with that for a while. Atleast till I get some faster memory. I know I can still push the video card also...so I'll do a little reading and give it a shot soon. Hey one question...T-bird1ghz pointed out that I get a low frame rate in the High Detail Car Chase test. Any ideas as to why?

Nope didn't touch the card yet...I'm too worn out to start flashing bios's and toying with the settings lol

Hey Vertices, I mangaged to overclock the 9700Pro a little and got some nice higher marks. But here is my problem, after the initial adjustments anything above that actually lowered my score. I'm assuming that means something is causing a bottleneck. My memory is obviously the first thing I can think of...but do you have any other ideas? Anyway here's the new specs if you wanna update me.

Hmm...By overclocking you Video card higher your score goes down? Sometimes that happens when you are overclocked TOO far but you are barely above stock.Quote:

you lost me there....overclocked too far but barely above stock? You mean the system vs the video card or are you saying that the card just can't oc any higher?

lol, JUST the video card. For example the settings I have in my sig, 328/315 were the first oc I did. I used Rage3D Tweak . After that inital oc, I up'd the core and memory a few mhz more, and the score dropped like 100 points. Then I tried just getting the core higher and still it dropped below the my current marks. Weird?
Go for a decent OC. Like 375/350 and see how that works. Are you rebooting each time?
Make sure you overclock, reboot, test.
Then adjust clocks, reboot, test again.
Like that.:)
