I'm on board with a combined 4.25 ghz of AMD & Intel(pfft) power...
PII 450 (It's my pimp server what can I say)
P4 1.6
XP 2400+ @ 2.2
Hopefully I can add a little fuel to the sharky fire
not sure if we've had an update on this recently.. but we're on the threat list for the team in 71st place :)
I thought this was kind of funny..
Here is our future production chart: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...p?TeamID=32378
Here's the one for the team far enough ahead that we aren't on it:http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...php?TeamID=593
Compare where TheLab.gr is on both on them.. hehe :D
We're crushing them.
Its exponential! Wow! :) :cool:Quote:

Wellcome aboard Foo, every hz helps.
I haven't seen anyone talk about CPU temps yet, the rig in my sig was averaging about 41Deg C under load before folding... now it's at 51Deg steady. Anyone else seeing a jump that high?
Yeah and I believe those are the estimates if we continue at the rate we are at right now. Of course we will be cranking out much more, since we get new people joining every day.Quote:

I have a steady 51 @ full load with folding@home. Usually around 47 during some hardcore gaming and 3dmarking.

I think we are bound to have a member joining shortage sometime or later and we will level out, but not for some time :D
Running f@h, P4 runs at 56c, XP2000+ runs at 48c -- :D go figure!
FX was at 70 folding, did a little work on the case and now its at 62.
Case went from 44 down to 36.

DAYUM! thats hot....
Ya, the OEM heat sink is a POS. And the need for added Vcore to fold at default tells me that AMD knew they had a heat problem. But in typical OEM fashion they fixed it with reduced current and saved $3 on a better heat sink.Quote:

Wow, thats a tad bit *** I mean you figure if you spend atleast $700+ on a processor they should atleast include some kind of decent heat solution... maybe a waterblock :)Quote:

Geez I feel lucky, my 2100+ is at 36C while folding:)
this is about where my main rig sits while folding, maybe a little higher (52-53) i also only get to about 47 when gaming for a long time thoughQuote:

geez, that's a toasty case temp  where's that computer sittin? i consider my room to be extremely warm, but i never see temps above 31 unless it's in the middle of the summer late afternoonQuote:

With 10 systems folding, it's about 80few in this room. The case temp is actually MB temp, the case is cold to the touch.Quote:

10 systems in one room? Man I'd like to see a picture of that! I have three and it tends to get warm after a while with the fan off.
10 in one room???  And i thought my one system kept our dorm room warm...
10 systems would be unbearable... the two systems I have in my room (in the basement, next to the furnance mind you AH!) which effectivley act like a large space-heater keep it atleast 15 degress hotter than any other room. I can't stand to be in here with any more than a t-shirt and shorts on, I practically break a sweat sitting here typing.
The things I do to fold, it's rediculous.
:p
And my first WU still isn't done.. what a bastard it is..
The fist results of Hammer folding are in. OC’ing is not an option for folding, I can’t manage the waste heat. But it folds nice at baseline. It did an 803 in 9min/per, and it’s doing a 549 in<8min/per. And that is without SSE.
Hmmm, humbly speaking, that's not so great is it? 9 mins per frame on a 32 point 803 implies the WU took around 15 hours. Which in turn implies that cpu is only capable of 52ish Points Per Day. Now the >8min in the 33 point 549 implies the WU will take say 13 hours. This in turn suggests a dails Production level closer to 60 points. Still that FX/51 I believe is at what 2.2GHz. That's only giving you a PPDPG of 25-28. Now of course SSE makes a big difference. 20% is the common figure people throw around but even with SSE that'd only up you to the 30-34 range which is still a lower PPDPG than Tbreds and Bartons.
Of course its great that you're increasing your total production level. But I was sort of thinking that the FX-51 would be a moderately better folder than the Barton. I don't know perhaps when you can get a better cooler, you can enable SSE and maybe then the boost will be much greater than 20%
Whats up guys? I'm back!:)
Had a great time on the honeymoon, wedding also went perfect.:)
Although I just came home and found that my net connection died out at my house right after I left requiring a reboot of my Cable UBR.
So half of my folders could not get a new WU for over a week.:(
Oh well, all is fine again now.:)
Yup, I damn sure hit a wall with no internet for over a week.:(Quote:

Great, to have you back, now we can start climbing the ladder that much faster and you can provide Thermo and KaoTiK some competetion.:)Quote:
