i think i'll need either 270x10 or 305x9 to make a run at 33k... if i can do that on air i'd be very happy... we'll see what happens when the DFI gets here. I'm guessing with the new card and a decent mobo you can take down 34k '01 and maybe 16.5k '03. I probably won't be able to touch that with air.

Think it would be better to ask if the dorm allows you to have compressors and such in your room or just get it and wait to see if they come knocking down my door?

yes, but only "approved" mini-fridges...

they also don't allow routers, but i figure if i put it on my secondary NIC and use my PC as a gateway they'll never see it :)

Yes, it can be linked but you'd need to post it in the proper format. If nothing has changed except, perhaps, a fresh OS install, you've gotta let me know....then, I'll update. so i need to post my specs again? the only thing that i changed is ii had to format because of a processor problem that only wanted to run at 800MHz now thats back to normal(srry if i understand you wrong or something:) )

So it's a fresh install, eh? If nothing has changed, except for a fresh installation of OS, then just let me know. You don't have to post your specs again if nothing else has changed. Still, listing everything makes it easier for the rest of us to check out your specs and score. Oh, I almost forgot.....you're updated!;)

nice score mike, 2000 gained with 250MHz more cpu clocks! youll easily have 34k, maybe even 35k with that dfi mobo, your current one doesnt have steady volts so its preventing something like 250x12=3GHz on the cpu :(

Thanks, buddy. It's hard for me to say where I can go with this until I can get a run in with higher mem speeds, and better gpu. Just picked up Asus XT number 2. :) Hopefully clocks better then the last with a later gpu core. Better yields now?

I'm not sure I'd say I'm held back yet, but you might be right, and fighting this is just a headache. I'll still play with it for a while to get through my learning curve, I just hope the DFI lives up to the hype.
