cool thanks for the advice, just on a side note I was scanning the Orb database and decided to try a higher FSB and lower CPU speed and guess what...my marks went up even higher then my sig now. Not by much but I didn't have the card OC'd at all at the time. So maybe thats where I'm running into the bottleneck. Anyway I'm goin out for a little so I'll work with it some more when I get back. Thanks for listening to me vent and blab. If you ignore me long enough I'll probably figure it out on my own! ;) lol

xDUCK you are going to have to have a link to your score at the Futuremark data base to have your score added to the sharky data base, you may have to backoff your OC a little to get it to post on the result browser, or the reresult browser was down when you tried to post your score.Edit to add you have to have a link to the Sharky Extreme 3D Mark team data base in your sig. also.

i'm happy to add my score to the Sharky crew, but i can't be arsed to verify it (my posts should prove i'm not a 3DMark whore). :)

ORB=Online Results Browser
Its basically where your saved 3DMark scores are logged and can be linked to for anyone to check out or compare. You can log into it after running 3DMark or you can just go to Futuremarks website and login from there.:)

Do I HAVE to provide a compare link? I did provide screenshots, so it's not just hearsay. :confused:

Ok, I ran it again, with my 9800 Pro a bit higher, and got 18182. This time, I could upload my score, but not publish it. However, I did snap a screenshot (and saved the project, so I can send the project file to anyone who wants it), which can be seen here.

ALMOST beat Daywalker. :) Off to see how high this 9800 Pro can go...

Edit: As far as 3D Mark not letting you post, it don`t even reconize my 2100+ at stock speeds, it states its a unknown cpu and it did the same thing for my 1600+. I don`t think they added any support for AMD cpu`s at all.

18624! Starting to see some mild artifacting though, mostly white dots. Would that be a Core thing, a RAM thing, or a temperature thing?

Nope, not at all. The system is rock solid at 190FSB, but at 191, it starts to lose stability. At 196, I can't POST (curiously, at 200+, I can), but anything about 195 and I can't even get into Windows. If I do, it's horribly unstable, and 3dmark crashes after a few seconds.

It's because I have the rev 1 A7N8X, with the crappy Northbridge. If I had an Epox, Abit, or a rev 2 A7N8X, I could probably score 220+FSB (it seems this CPU is a lot better than I gave it credit for, it can post at 2.5+).

white dots mean the core has been pushed too far. Id back off not to kill that card :eek: also if you spend like $80 for a later stepping of nf2 board, you can just remove the old one and plug in the new one and your ready to go. No reinstalling windows cause its the same mobo, just the chipset overclocks more. I think its worth it if you can afford a 9800 pro and expensive ram :)

Great score!:D But I'd back off a little as artifacts means too much stress on the vid card (Colossus told me to watch out for those when I was benching my rig;) ) Don't want another to attend another *sniff* 'funeral' *sniff*, do we?:(

Hey Vertices, I dunno if it even matters but my spot on the 3DMark team page shows as having 208FSB. I got it up to 222 (actually 223 in the bios but it only shows as 222 in 3DMark) for that score. If you wanna just remove the FSB info all together I'm sure I'll be adjusting it more in the future. :)
