Silent Hill 1 for the playstation. Its not really that scary in and of itself, but my friend and I were playing it late one night in his dark basement (his idea), and he was about to go into this church when for some reason he turned the character around real fast and there from out of nowhere was this little demon thing with a knife. I know that it doesnt sound scary but for whatever random reason my friend and I jumped out of our skins. We still laugh about it today.
The worst sound in SS2... Alarm goes off... hybrids, monkies coming.... ::swings wrench:: SHOOSH.... CLANK... damn I missed.... run run run run.... hides in small room hoping not to be found by the evil that lurks outside... I hated those damn camera alarms. THey werent so bad once you got a ways in because you could hack em or psi em off, but in the beginning when all you had was the pistol and wrench... setting it off meant certain death :D man I love that game. .........Beware the monkiesQuote:

System Shock is the scariest, I never got pass the the first stage, the sound is so unsettling. Between playing that and sleeping over night in a haunted house, I pick the haunted house.
