O sorry about the sig. I just put the whole futuremark comparison and put it on my sig because i was having trouble and didn't want to keep listing everything i was running. Sorry, forgot to take it off haha.
So all the new 9500's are differently designed? anyone have a pic of the old one comapared to the new one? whats the diff?

is this still the same card you got, or do you think with this new batch they've changed the pcboard?
I seriously doubt that the PCBs are changed yet. I have also yet to see a 9500 non-pro based on the new PCB. They might not even change them at all since it is not an ATI card.Quote:

I may rethink getting this 9500pro and go for modded 9500 instead.
I brought to a guy he solderd pin 1-2 for i never touched the resistor then when i got home i updated the bios with hacked hercules 9700 bios then thats it.
It says 9700 in adapter tab so i guess it is.

also how did you remove the hsf and put it back on? i never payed attention to those "how to remove epoxy" threads ;)
yeah, use conductive fluid to make a bridge between 1-2. That will "unlock" the 4 pixel pipelines. Flash a new 9700 bios on it and you're good to go. I WANNA BUY ONE! I get a kick out of hacking hardware to gain bang for buck...as do most other people here probably.
The HSF is held in place by push-pins from the looks of it. It is not epoxied on. All you gotta do is pop off the push pins and yank the cooler off. Perform mod, clean the core, apply *insert favorite TIM* stick the HSF back on.
show the benchmarks between the differences.. and post them.. when your done.. cuz i wanna see this.. cuz if it does work.. this feb .. i'm getting one for sure...Quote:

This is my best maybe i could get a little more. Is a good score for my setup?
rather low really :( (especially w/ a 3GHz CPU)
*EDIT* Is that with the modded 9500?
weedkiller, it is imperative that you run ALL of the benches for us to determine if the mod really works...the fillrates will tell the story. Could you do one run and include all the benches? Thanks a lot! :)
