So i can finally blow the legs off headcrabs and watch them squirm helplessly on the ground while i project my evil laugh?! YES!
REVENGE!!!
well that's good...when reading that I wasn't really likeing the tactical aspect of the game...seeing how the first one wasn't realisitic at all...it would suck to turn it into cs with monsters and pretty graphics...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :( :( :(Quote:

I was so hyped after reading that article, even though it did seem a little weird- the tactical aspect and all. Oh well.
From PlanetHalfLife:
So here’s the summary: Half-Life 2 is coming September 30th. Takes place in a European-type city called "City 17" and picks up sometime after Gordon went to work for the G-Man. Gordon’s back, there’s a new female sidekick named Alyx, and Xen aliens are involved. The new engine is called the Source Engine and Valve says they’re confident that Half-Life 2 will be an even better platform for mods than the original. There will be multiplayer, but they aren't saying what it'll be.
Hmmm, those are really believable stuff from planethalflife.
But they say it's a rumor, so don't expect everything. (most should be there, like the barney stuff)
edit: ohh, and thank god that article is fake.
It would be nasty to jam the gun.
I mean, Valve knows not to make a game too realistic as it would take away the fun.
COOL
Well there are two sides to this: out is what you pointed out, but if they do this with just the right balance of realism and fiction, it should make for massive emmersion in the game. But oh well :(Quote:

Newell states: "After we finish the announcement process for Half-Life 2, we will provide an update on Team Fortress 2."
Wow, whats the world coming to... maybe something even more rediculous will happen this year; perhaps an announcement that Duke Nukem Forever will be released by the end of the year...
How much ya want to bet TF2 is now a mod for HL2, ala TFC for HL?Quote:

well, HL2 had to happen sooner or later, the way the first game ends was just too much of a cliffhanger...
I predict that TF2 will be released in some sort of patch for HL2.
wouldn't be surprised if TF2 is using the HL2 engine and that's part of the reason it's taking so long. Whether we will see TF2 anytime soon....well...who knowsQuote:

There was actually a question whether the article as fake? ;)
Heheh, i thought it was hella funny :)
TF2 will most likely use the new engine. When it comes out... hmmm I really don't think anyone wants to take a guess. ;)
