Thanks...
I just wish I could do some reviews for a site... It would be nice to not pay for some of it sometimes... It is getting rather expensive.
There's something to be said for being fashionably late to the party. :)
Anyways, so you hit 3.65 with it Big C? I have actually found that anything over 1.65 Vcore NEGATIVELY affects my 2.8C which is the same Malaysia CPU as yours. (I did send you the specs on mine earlier didn't I?:D)
Honestly most people are not hitting 4ghz, but very close. And most of those are on prommies.
I definitely think a new board is in order, you know what I would recommend but tha P4C800 is #1 on the orb right now so I gotta respect it (even though I hate it!).
When are you gonna upgrade from that aircooling? It's time for something new Big C!!!!!! I honestly think your cooling is gonna keep you from getting much over 3.65. You might have a little left in it on air though.:)
PC Ice memory benches are significant. They beat mine by 250 points but I am curious as to what fsb and mem ratio he is running to get those.
Go spend some more money Big C, it's time again.:D:D:)
I wouldnt mind having the option for 1.70v :) But this board doesnt... So since this board kicks butt with the 2.4c.. I am probably going to move that into the office :)
But I am mixed between a cheap springdale or another Canterwood or just stick with the P4C800 DLX...
I wonder if I can click my heals 3 times I can get a BIOS update or something to increase the vcore :D
I feel I have much more left in her!!! Even for just air.. I should be (if it overclocks well) to achieve 3.8Ghz...
Like I mentioned before, the 2.8c does run a little warmer then the 2.4c overclocked and stock...
But I am not even breaking 40c and I turned up the Tornadie...
I wonder how the wife would mind $500 for a Prommie...
EDIT:
Also how was I fashionable late to a party? I hate being ontime :D Plus I had the new P4 before you :) So care to explain? :D
You're such a dork! (j/k).:DQuote:

I meant I was fashionably late. I didn't post till page 4. heh heh. God, get all defensive why don't you?:D:D:):):)
*lol*
Sorry man... I thought you were complaining about how long it taken me to realize to swap out the KNXP :)
But the KNXP is a great board... But its just not a Extreme Overclockers board :(
Oh question...
I have noticed that when I bump the FSB by 5Mhz without touching the memory timing or divider.. That Sandra would show maybe a 20 point increase??? Sometimes 5Mhz extra on the FSB would drop the score????
Does your IC7-G behaves like that? I didnt test out the IC7 that extensively.. So I might swap over to the P4C800 DLX today or wait for my IS7 tomorrow or Friday :)
I didn't notice anything like that. Although I didn't extensively bench sandra each step of the way so I can't be sure. I did do several tests along the way though and never noticed anything odd like that.
Here is his specs :) I cut-n-pasted from his sig :)Quote:

[email protected] water cooled cpu/chipset cooled. 750 gph pump and 130gph pump 1.85.cpu/ram.3.0v
abit IS7.mem/modded kingston3500x2@490mhz.
two maxtor 60g set up raid striped.
one 30g storage.

_mod_it_overclock_it_post_it.......XTREME
Very nice and very modified :) WOW Almost DDR500!!!!! Sweet!
Yes that is impressive. So he's at 296 mhz FSB. But then how his ram at 490? If he's using 5:4 it would put his ram at 474mhz.
I wonder what he actually ran that bench at.
I'm looking forward to doing some apples to apples comparisons with you when you get your IS7 to find out what the deal is.
my gawd bldegle, if you oced that radeon, you could match colossus easy! Nice prometia too, maybe this is what I need for a good overclock. what voltage are you using for 2.9GHz? will I get more MHz with the same voltage on good cooling?
I also just ordered a prometeia. Let the games begin!:D
Yes he can... WOW a correct statement for you :D :D :DQuote:

However a AMD @ 2.9Ghz is very impressive and would beat my score if he pushes that card... He should get an extra 1500 from the card alone if he overclocks it...
bartons dont overclock as well and do not like past 1.8v, so I dont see why I shouldnt break 3GHz if I stand correct and on like 1.8v too
Now you are wrong... MAN!!! You were on the roll earlier...Quote:

Bartons do work with extreme voltages.. But you better be able to cool it better at higher voltages...
Most Bartons around 2.9Ghz are on or over 2.0v

told you already, i don't care nor do i want to clock my vid card.
2.9 gig requires 2.06vre.

"will I get more MHz with the same voltage on good cooling?"
.......................................duh. but your chipset will be your ultimate limitation, as stated mega times before.
