There are programs for diablo 2 that allow you to automate your character to kill the same boss over and over again, usually someone that drops valuable items. Unfortunately they are undetectable and the only way blizzard notices is that people leave them running 24 hours or more, and this is even more obvious if people run more than 1 bot on the same machine (24 hours straight 2-4 games on 1 ip?). It has really hurt the game economy.Quote:

It sounds like a cheating program, and I am pretty sure that's against the AUP.
I've been playing D2 since classic and I've got to say that I'm not surprised by the rampant cheating and hacked items. I've had every item and done everything there is do in that game and I've been bored with it for months now. if Blizzard isn't going to roll out 1.10 or make D3 its getting harder and harder to not go out and get a Quark CB or 4socket bugged Valor. its the only thing that could addict me again or at least offer some kind of fix.
I find it to be of no small coincidence that your SN is "Voice of Reason"Quote:

Hell Mephisto, Baal, and cow levels is where it's at...
<--- 3 Windforces, 2 Grandfathers, 10 Arkaines Valor's, 15 Cranium Bashers, about 10 million Buriza's.
All in a months time :)
Just a question, how many users does Blizzard have anyway? Half a million people has to be a big chunk of their users. Then again, that could be one person with many CD Keys registered on multiple IP addresses.
No, cuz they're banning cd keys, not IPs.
Dont worry, Battle.net has a LOT of users.
I doubt if blizzard is very wary of banning people anyway. People love their games and will continue to buy them, and even if they ban people off battle.net it only helps them because battle.net is a free service and it costs them bandwidth every month. A lot of it.Quote:

I think blizzard gets a little too ban happy sometimes. My starcraft cd key was muted about a year and a half ago for no reason, and their tech support just kept jerking me around. I wouldn't be surprised if they banned a lot of innocents too.
Too little too late. I'm suprised, though, that D2 seems to be going so strongly so long after its release. I had a friend that ran 3-4 accounts very very early on in the D2 lifecycle on hardcore and made $$$$$ selling it on ebay. That pretty much was the end of the game for me as I could just ask him for any eq and get it almost immediately. Also, once we figured out how to 'power level' characters, that also ruined the fun. Having a level 60+ hardcore character after only 5 hours or so kinda ruins the fun. Yes, one doesn't have to do it that way, but if one could, why go the slow way?
My sentiments exactly. I remember the awe I used to feel when seeing a lvl70+ char back in Classic, knowing what a time investment it represented. Now, lvl70 is an hour or two of your time. Cow levels ruined it, I'm sure they'll change that in 1.10 (if it actually ever comes out that is.)Quote:

I agree 110%. That's why I do very little online gaming anymore. Some phucking retards always have to screw it up for the people that really want to use it right.Quote:
good, i hate cheaters even more than i hate far right wing republican scum
So what would you do excuse me, if you lost 20 games in a row because the others are cheating. At the time when I was playing everyone did it. If you didn't cheat then you couldn't play. Every game I lost was because the others were using hacks!Quote:
